You can't do that unless the cat trust you (I mean for a stray cat) so I guess the left him there because he is attended by that person, that is his territory, he is well and he is and old cat, so why make him suffer changing everything he knows, sometimes is very difficult for a stray old cat to adapt to another type of life, we used to feed 2 cats and we gave them a place in the porch next to our door, with water shelter, both females Lulu2 and Misha, Lulu was confident, we could caress her, misha, despite the years she lived with us, the babies she had and we cared for (and we gave up adoption except for those who were introduced to my family,(until we could catch her and castrate her), she never let them touch her, and always made a hissing noise, but she always returned to her shelter, Lulu2 had 2 kittens, and after a month she died, likely poisoned by a neighbor, x the way we found her, but she would have been part of our cat family too

But being a male cat who is outside, there could be a spraying problem. Maybe they can adopt another stray cat to keep this one company. So glad she healed up. That was horrible to see what that infection did to her skin. How wonderful that lady adopted her.

They should have been rescued together, but the truth is you can only rescue as much as you can i am a private citizen use my own money resources in rescuing cats sometimea it gets overwhelming especially when it feels like you are the only one in the community who cares and people around tends to hurt the animals you rescued

theres another one where they find a kitten that is stuck with their dead father. Once they had the kitten checked out and everything they let it say goodbye to it's father one last time. Think about it. Someone went out of their way to get the corpse of a cat, then they stored it for days and kept it in good enough condition just so the kitten could say goodbye. Good people exist.

I think it cuz stray cats are conditioned to the streets. They mentioned how the old cat has been on the street for 8 years. Put into a new environment such as a home it may not really work out because they lived their entire lives on the streets. It's like taking someone from the city and putting them in the woods. Completely different environment and it might not work out. I think this is why stray cats are like spayed or something and put back on to the streets.

Because the yellow cat does not belong to a family, it lives in the building. He is still "stray" even though he has been living in the building for eight years, and the kitten's injuries and treatment deserve a family attention.

Ipno is an older stray cat, who is actually controlling the local population. Not all cats are made to be home pets, some of them are better off at the streets due to aforementioned reason(territorial population control- otherwise there would be a major issue with stray cats in this area).Kittens are more responsive for human interaction and domestication. I am sure Ipno is being well looked after and well respected around that apt complex - after all he has a name given by the locals and looks pretty healthy :)

Also, it is pretty common in bigger cities to practice spay/neuter and release. Such stray cats also help with the rodent issue.

Probably because it's a feral cat. You can't adopt a feral cat. lol. That cat has its territory where people probably regularly feed it. It seemed to be comfortable enough around the humans that regularly feed them to let them pet or carry, but it's still meant to be outside. I don't know if it is a stray or feral, but.. that would mean someone abandoned it or it got lost. There can be feral cats that are "used to" familiar humans after all. But it's a full grown cat, not kitten.

Ipno didn’t need to be rescued because he lived at that facility. He was fat and allowed a person to walk to him and pick him up, that’s not somethin a stray does.

But Ipno and Sarang have a bond. They would both be better off staying together.

Mary Olson Ipno is 8 years old and is use to the life he lives. Sarang more than likely can never go back outside. They have a bond yes, however that doesn’t mean that Ipno has to be put up in a house.

He really does deserve a loving life at a forever home, but I doubt he'd want it. Chances are hes got a mate, parent, sibling, or kittens to take care of. While it would keep Ipno safe, It would make Ipno unhappy, and would worry all the kitties who know him. The best choice is to let him stay a stray, with someone caring for those strays and giving them food, water, and a warm place to sleep

There are fighter cats here and they all protect eachother from those territorial cats. Yea animals even MALE animals can adopt other babies and be kind. Its not always about survival

I think the kitty was attacked and received a bite from another stray (possible sick) cat and that bite may caused an infection from inside or something like this. At last that's what I ended up understanding. I don't think this is from burning or acid, if that was the case the wound would simply scar after sometime and fur wouldn't regrow.

This cat is doused with hot water I say that because there are many similar cases in my country with similar injuries the cat's wound is like a blister Sorry my english is broken 🥺

I have two cats from the same litter who were found in bad shape at a few weeks old in summer. The mother wouldn't take care of them, so they needed fostering and had infections and needed eye drops and medicine. I wound up keeping them.

Beatriz, Hope she has been spayed to prevent over population of cats and the harm her kittens and their kittens might also experience in the future.

Nastia it’s okay, I think Ipno is better off as a stray, he’s well fed by the people in the building, and well known around the neighbourhood for 8 years, that’s a long time for a stray, and that shows how well he’s doing, putting him up for adoption with Sarang could stress him it cuz he will be confined to a smaller space, my cat was a stray and she tried to run away many times, but she eventually came back
