The craziest part of this video was that she said “hold on”, walked away while leaving the door open, and both of those cats didn’t run inside leaving a wake of cat and mouse destruction. My whole life has been a lie.

This mouse probably has Toxoplasma Gondii a parasite that changes the mouses brain so it actively follows the scent of a cat and wants to be near a cat. Very unusual behavior.

Lady, BE ALARMED! That is not normal mouse behavior. You need to be worried about your cat and you having Toxoplasmosis, which is a very serious protozoan. That mouse is on your cat because the protozoan infestation in it's body has convinced the mouse that the cat smells good. I kid you not. It's part of the life cycle process. It's how the protozoan gets the cat to eat the mouse, thus infesting the cat. The mouse eats the cat poop, or you clean the litter box, and the mouse and you get infested. Then, it makes you think kitty smells good so mouse and you get close to kitty, and the cycle starts over (this last sentence is just a cat lover joke). Toxoplasmosis is bad, because of how it alters the brain, plus it causes known issues in unborn babies if mom has it, including Schizophrenia, stillborn, seizures, eyesight loss, liver failure, mental impairment, learning disabilities, death, etc. People can have a lab test to check for antigens in the body from Toxoplasmosis.Wear gloves when cleaning litter; wash hands. Cook pork completely (it's not just cats, mice and people).

I bet the mouse probably had toxoplasmosis, which is why it was so chill around the cat, and just in general. (If I correctly recall, toxoplasma gondii, the parasite that causes toxoplasmosis, essentially shuts down the Moises fear response. This is what causes them not to run from cats, and possibly even seek them out (?), since their getting eaten by the cat is all part of the parasites life cycle.)
