Green was going for the double play, as such they needed to block the ore to stop Blue or Red getting army, don’t think it had much to do with dandy’s table talk. But actually if you read the chat, dandy was encouraging Red to take road away from Green as they were just a single knight away from the win. 29:18 not entirely sure if Green had a knight here but if they’d played it then they get army before Blue and potentially double play.

I don’t know how you can say it’s more or less competitive but for sure 3 player games make road strategies more powerful as there is more space on the board. If anything I guess that makes it more competitive as players will be vying for the road spots more than ows meaning placement is a bit more tense. I know you asked Dandy not me, let’s see what he says if he responds.
