I could see bunch of people to think it would work and I think that by ultimate combo of writers, director etc it could have been something more. After it is decided it is made, I can so easily see bunch of people reading through the musical and the things happening in it and just trying to write it into movie. After director gets the script, I could see it trying to make it happen and because its bunch of green screen and cgi, it might have looked fine there. Some miss casts and problems with script. When they started edit it, thats the moment shit hit the fan. They must have known cgi is pure crap, plot doesn't work or is non existing etc. At that moment they want to cash it out as much as possible and just move on. Im surprised that they rerelease it
