Ok, so estimating about 2 tablespoons per sip of coffee with 16 tablespoons per cup and drinking 100 coffees, you'd have 12.5 cups of coffee or 100 fluid ounces. That's a fair bit but considering half of them are just sugar, this isn't that dangerous. I would suggest not doing this daily as then you're just asking to die from diabetes or a heart attack. Not sure which one would get you first.

Ya, it is actually almost impossible to overdose off of the caffeine in coffee. The vast majority of caffeine overdoses usually come from caffeine pills or when mixing a very large amount of energy drinks with alcohol.

Ive gotta imagine Connor seeing this and just being confused at all the freedom units. 😂 Id say 2 tbsp is more of a solid gulp, so each sip was probably half that, and it was actually about 60 drinks. So he probably had 3-4 cups. But it's the timeframe that makes it dangerous. that many over 8 hrs is not a serious problem. (Still over the 300mg a day recommended consumption limits) but not dangerous as a one time stunt. Condense the consumption over an hour and its 8x as much effect and health risk. For a heavy coffee consumer he probably would have a panic attack at worst though. Im sure his body is well adapted. And you're right they are probably half as potent being diluted with sugar/milk.

this is honestly what i'll never get about japan even after having worked there. it's the country with insane work practices and any office worker i knew basically ran on coffee between 6am-6pm and then alcohol the other way round, yet 99% of japanese coffee is so fucking terrible it made me cry at times. it got to the point where i got my own coffeemaker and beans at my desk so i'd be able to drink a proper cup of joe.

The first day I visited Japan my group got every coffee out of the closest vending machine, 10 total. My ratings were very similar to yours, with Boss coffee being absolutely awful and Wonda's being passable. You are missing the one that I thought was by far the best (and I recommend you try because I think you will actually like it) which was Tully's Black. If it's a bigger sell, it has that satisfying crack when you open the top! Also, those coffee jelly's looked awful, but I did have one that was lovely from a local restaurant when there. So please don't write them off completely!

I was with her on that same trip and second trying coffee jelly that doesn't look like it's been chewed up before it was packaged! I'm not a coffee drinker, but I got Van Houten hot chocolate almost every day... it was so, so good that every hot chocolate I've tried in the US pales in comparison.

So estimating the amount of liquid in a sip as 25 ml, and counting 47 cold cofees in the shot at the beginning +8 hot ones, that's 1375 ml or 1.37L of coffee which should have about 445mg of caffeine. The median lethal dose of caffeine is 200 mg per KG of body mass. So Connor had about 2,7% of what would be needed to die in this video

So I did the math...he seems to be taking tablespoon sized sips, there are 16 tablespoons in 1 cup. I miss the cafes that serve coffee made from beans they roasted themselves that very same day. That's something I don't see in Europe. It's crazy how Japan's coffee culture goes to both extremes. From incredibly crappy sugary canned coffees, to cafes that roast their own coffee and serve it when it's fresh.

@@boglimstomper69 Caffeine just makes your brain shit out more dopamine and serotonin, it really doesn't change who you are at all. It acts as an antidepressant and makes you feel happier, energized, and more focused.

@@jisa2712 caffeine itself won't cause a heart attack if you drink a lot it can actually be pretty good for your heart as a lot of study have shown, but on the flip side it can raise your high blood pressure which can actually give you a heart attack.

I grew up right outside of Seattle and have never heard of Mt. Rainier coffee. But the actual mountain/volcano itself is very pretty! I'm curious to try the coffee now, especially after the good ratings xD

at 2:29 - I had a 8 day trip to Tokyo. That's literally my realization on the 8th day of my stay in Tokyo, when I was figuring what to get in a konbini in Yanaka, Nippori. Ended up asking for ホットコーヒー instead of going for the canned hot coffee myself. Guess what, the shop assistant in the konbini was smart enough to guide me to the coffee machine. I guess Chris Broad and his interest in Japanese-born English - I discovered there a new word: カフェインレスコーヒー. Among other finds on this trip was a pork ramen restaurant called Groin Groin in Asakusa. Connor, you and Chris should go there definitely!! :D

Korea has vending machines that make fresh coffee (and hot chocolate) just everywhere. Very handy when your waiting at the subway platform in winter but most subway stations have either Angel Cafe or Tom & Tom's Coffee or just a Starbucks in the station so you could just go there as well. Little more expensive but better quality; fresh coffee doesn't equal good coffee.

Boss Coffee has actually made it outside of japan. The cold kind at least is available in nz/au, but that's not saying too much because you can get items with Japanese labels in your average chain grocery store over there.

Mount Raineer coffee does not exist in Washington or Seattle. The mountain isn't in Seattle, but it is within driving distance. I live in Western Washington. There are a lot of coffee shops and larger chains around here like Starbucks, Tully's Cutter's Point etc..

Yeah I feel Conner and my tastes for coffee are different. I live in Canada and get a _Triple-triple_ at Tim's...or if I go to Starbucks(cuz there's like 4x more of them) I get a Grande Pike; in a Venti cup, 7 raw/brown sugar packets, and topped up with cream.
