"A woman who losses her husband is a widow. A man losing his wife is a widower and a child losing his parents is an orphan. But there is no term for a parent losing a child". It is so heartbreaking, and devastating there is no way to describe it. It's a Glee quote I know. But my point is I don't think I would be able to stay in the real world after that. I would have followed that bird into its world and never come back.

To me, the bird helped her be able to find herself again after the miscarriage. The bird symbolizes her unborn child. She tried to prevent the bird from leaving, because of her unwillingness to let go. The bird helped her pick up painting again, which you can tell was a hobby she enjoyed doing. And then towards the end, she is finally able to find herself again, and let's the bird free. She has finally let go, and found herself after she lost herself.

I was not expecting it to be about miscarriage, I don't know anyone who had to go through that. I have no idea how much pain it must be but the sound and the look on her face made what happened so clear and it made my heart hurt! The group that made this short film did an excellent job !

Before she had me, my mom gave birth to a child and named her Grace. Minutes after being born she died due to unknown causes, Grace was a sibling/twin of some other baby we don't know what gender it was yet she suffered a miss carriage to that child and it was so hard on her, she almost tied her tubes so she couldn't have me and my brother (17) would be an only child. Praise the Lord because I was born August 4th :) God bless you all!

My Mom had 3 miscarriages before my brother was born, another before I was born (we're 2 years apart) and one more before she finally had to have a hysterectomy. Miscarriage is NEVER funny and I wish people weren't so GD tactless,,,

I watch this over and over and my heart sinks with sorrow thinking about the babies I lost. This perfectly explains what goes on in my heart that nobody knows but the Lord sees my tears everytime I see someone with a new baby. It was so bad for a while that I could not make it through the grocery store without feeling like my heart was stabbed with pain. Thank you to whoever sent this to me. Thank you. It is my heart without words.

Lost 2, 20 years ago, and the pain never goes away. I both love and hate this short film. It was beautiful, and I too would have followed the bird. I make my own worlds in my head, so I guess I already did.

My explanation: She suffered a miscarriage, as you can see, the yellow that she painted by her fingers are the egg or zygote the the red line and the orange line are the weeks developing her baby in progress but the can of paint that washed away is a metaphor of her miscarriage. After that she started to paint again ( to move one) she painted her room with the new begining with memories of her baby (with the growing bird). But she decided to let her go instead of painting it with the memory of her baby. Now the woman is looking at the beautiful painting, a beautiful scenery which represents a new beginning. Lesson: There is no such things that are permanent in this world, do not attach on beautiful things, learn to let go because life is moving, we should enjoy the beautiful future coming for us 💕

STOP TALKING ABOUT MARVEL HERE! THIS CAME OUT OVER A YEAR AGO. ALSO ITS NOT THAT SHE'S DISSOLVING. ITS JUST THE 'MAGIC PAINT' DISSOLVING SINCE IT WAS CUT FROM THE PAINTING AND THE BIRD. THATS WHY ESMA WAS TRYING TO KEEP HIM IN SO HE WOULDNT DISSOLVE TOO. Srry but I need this to be seen by as many ppl as possible so the comment section wont be flooded with the same comments over and over. This is a very very beautiful and emotional video. The artstyle is different than most others but I perosnally like it. It dug up all the emotions I buried when my beloved grandfather died. I really like how theres no language and words needed. Everything is conveyed through music and the video. its not easy to edit characters how they are in your head and how you get them on screen. The mimics are very great also not too much detail or completely barren. everything is there for a purose in the background and makes sense. Thank you CGMeetup for creating this beautiful shortfilm :)

So Sadly moving and and then uplifting. I love how the story can be told without words so any one from any background and language can experience the different emotion her journey of hope, joy sadness, depression, intrigue, the small joys returning and then finding ways to let go and move forward in life while still feeling the pain. There are some experiences the pain never fully leave you, however remaining stagnant only nurtures that pain. You need to move forward just a little every day so each morning the pain consumes you a little less. There will be times you backslide a little but you just need to pick yourself up and take the next step and one day you will find yourself again. I think a person is not just defined by their joys and pain but how they learn to deal with that pain and just live their life.

O vazio, a dor, a saudade de um ser que talvez nem tenha dado tempo de ver o rosto, mas que já amava profundamente. Two beautiful souls I know transitioned out of this physical world and I miss them every hour of every day. This film was very painful to watch emotionally but ultimately, it is a lesson of letting go. All of life is, after all, a lesson in temporality. What makes it bearable is that love transcends all, including death. And souls are still very much alive.

A 7 and a half minute short film made me cry more than a 2 hour movie This is just so amazing, I applaud the creators! The animation, the subtle hints at what happened to her lost baby, and the music all just pull the heartstrings! Honestly, this is a story told beautifully in such a short span, and that’s what also makes it so fantastic

The ability to bring anothers emotions to the surface through ones own imagination and tallents is truely an inspiration to all. The author and illustrators of this short have achieved the ultimate goal...to touch someone elses heart through the art of animation. Bravo, I consider myself privilaged to have the opportunity to witness such beautiful creativity.. I just read the intro and noticed...this was uploaded on my birthday just last year...nothing special, just kinda nice.

This was a really good animation. I love the concept, and the movements themselves looked very natural. The concept for the story is interesting. Loved the music. My critique for this animation is that the expressions were too plain and didn't quite reflect the sound effects. In animation it's important to exaggerate character expressions slightly. When she exhales, there should be a noticeable relaxing of the shoulders. Also her general expressions for things like surprise should be reworked. More raised eyebrows, mouth a bit agape, stuff like that. It was a great watch.

@Slípka Infinity War spoilers below Thanos jokes are from Infinity War (A marvel movie). Thanos gets the power to do anything he can imagine. Thanos decides to end world hunger and poverty by killing half of all life in the universe, including the Marvel superheros. He does this by snapping his fingers, thus turning half of the universe's population to dust. Spiderman is turned to dust, and as he died, he said, "I dont feel so good." That is where the I dont feel so good jokes come from. The thumbnail looked like a character from Marvel turning to dust. Marvel fans can be extreme fangirls/fanboys. If they see something even remotely Marvel related, they get really excited. That is why Thanos jokes are inevitable after anything related to dust is posted on social media.

So i just watched this, and it is beautiful, the bird hatching may show symbolism of a new happiness after depression from a still-born or unborn baby. She takes care of the bird, but sadly the bird cannot join her in the 3d world. This may have symbolism of "we cannot get every joy that we desire". The children laughing when she puts her hand,in the painting may symbolize that happiness is so close but so far in her reach. Overall, this is a smooth and beautiful animation that has a lot of deep meaning. I.love.it.
