As an actor I wouldn't care how much you paid me for a movie but if it includes me disrespecting God and calling him all types of names then I'm not accepting the money or the role. Because God is to be worshipped and not cursed.

Respectfully disagree. The whole point of Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom is to show the misdirection of anger, towards God and towards man’s fellow companions. And in the end, the misdirection of that anger causes Chadwick’s character’s downfall.

If he's in hell? He's in his grave like the rest of the dead awaiting the time of judgement.

This gave me the chills. The other day I was spending time with God and I understood there is no such thing as acting. An act is you actually doing something. Someone can tell me to act out something then they release my act to the world and my act can cause millions of people to stumble into sin. God will then judge me for that even though I was just acting. That's why these artists say they sold their soul. Their job is literally to act out sinful things that then gets released into the world causing the eyes and ears of the listeners to be sinfully influenced turning them into a corrupt thing. They are responsible for millions of souls today influencing their minds to become more and more depraved.

Blasphemy against the Father and the Son is forgiven, but blasphemy against the Holy Ghost is not forgiven.

When my wife and I saw and heard what he said we saw him differently. He was NOT the good man we thought him to be, but the godless man we learned him to be. No amount of money or fame should be enough to speak of God in the way he did in that movie. And then went on a tirade about how glad he'd be to sell his soul to the Devil. And on top of all that it was produced by Denzel Washington? Wow!!!

Exactly I agree! I also heard that his role in the movie was an "add-on"/Add-lib type role. His part was not even based on a true event, so that surprised me and had me perplexed why he would do that.

If he committed an unforgivable sin there’s nothing to get together. It’s hell for eternity right? Anyone who denies or questions that or believes someone can “get it together” before death doesn’t truly believe blasphemy is an unforgivable sin. I was also taught none of us know the true relationship one has with his or her god and whether or not they’re going to hell or heaven and man isn’t the one who gets to decide that or judge them or their relationship. RE-READ the book of Matthew when Jesus addresses the Pharisees. And your actions cannot save you, Jesus is the one who saves you and your belief in HIM only. 1. Blasphemy towards the holy spirit vs God. There is a major difference. You need to reference strongs concordance, hebrew and greek manuscripts to try to learn what blaspheming even means in the first place. Once you figure that out if you even can, then how would you do that to the holy spirit? You think it is one act? We are not angels. We are bound by time. We have time to repent. Our choices are not forever. What i come to understand blasphemy of the spirit is.. is knowing what it is and rejecting and cursing it. 2. Before i was saved, i got very angry with God. I had a personal conversation where i said some things that i should not have said. I think it's okay to be angry and take it to God, but the way you do so can be wrong. You don't go to talk to about your anger and start slandering him, disrespecting him.. and on. 3. At the end of the day, you don't know his heart. That's Between him and God, but i will say that he didn't have to take the role at all. No one forced him.

God knows all and God knows that some people really feel like this. And God know Chadwick was just acting. And he is showing how some people feel. I worked in a Boys home and these young men lived some horrible lives and some of them believe in God, and some believe if there is a God how could he let so many horrible things happen. I Know there is a God, and I know God is not going to take your life if you don't believe in him, because he said everyone would not believe. And people who go around judging people on there beliefs are just as bad, God don't need man to speak for him. There is nothing God have not seen. He's not shock about a movie, I am sure there are enough bad things happening that he's not up-set with what he know is true. If everyone that don't believe in God would fall to a sudden death we would have people dropping like flies. God understands all.

Just saw that ciip. Wow...I had never heard of the movie. Wow...in that scene alone it was a despicable movie. I am a servant of God who knows that once you are saved/unsaved you CANNOT blaspeme God. I do not feel sorry for Chadwick Boseman. I hate disgusting blasphemy against God and His holy and precious name. Chadwick Boseman will burn in hell for all eternity for blaspheming God Almighty in the movie Ma Rainey's Black Bottom (2020). A person should not blaspheme God in a movie role at all.

I recently watched a woman who gave an account of seeing him in hell. She had no idea who he was at the time of her experience. Gave me chills to my core. I believe this woman. Now hearing this, it adds up.

I Disagree , the character in the movie experienced tragedy and as a result developed a hatred toward God resulting in him cursing God, this is a normal human reaction which I've beard witness to in real life, there are other topics explored in the the movie , it might be uncomfortable for some but its thought provoking and worth the watch. A story not exactly the same but explores similar topics is Job in the bible🙏
