I’m 28 so first came to know her with “Believe” when I was 3 and ever since I feel in love and have dove into her catalogue of music and continued to follow her career since. Only wish I was born in a different generation so I could see first hand the impact she had in all those different decades. Saw her live 5 years ago best night EVER and would do it all over again every day 🥰

In the '70s I went to their TV show and Cher's TV show after her breakup with Sonny. She's absolutely fabulous and was so proud of her when she won the Oscar for Moonstruck.

I agree that this is just how she sings. I also think that is a shame that she did not throttle back as to not overpower the legend that she was singing a duet with. That performance was mostly all lipsynched by Cher... There were a couple times where you could actually hear her singing, but it was an overall good and iconic performance.

She lipsyncs the verses of Believe because of the vocal effects, which are a big part of the reason the song was such a hit. She sings the chorus live. This is how she's always done it with this song.

I'm not sure why she is the tribute artist. Yes, Hudson can sing. But, is she still relevant in the music scene? And connects with the young demographic?

She’s not a versatile singer, so don’t know what you’re talking about. She sang this in a non-flattering way. Was off key in many places and the adlibs were unnecessary, lacking any musically and pitchiness. Mariah (despite vocal issues) came in like a master, still on key and on pitch.
