Im a shy singer, i dont sing Infront of anybody, its been more than 9 years since i haven't sang Infront of anyone, and i really want to sing Infront of everyone, but im scared they might judge me for how i sing, and everytime i do these vocal workouts they give me positivity and confidence, and i learned that no one really cares, so you should just be free and live YOUR life, your life is not their life, its your own, and you have control of your life. I’m just a little old country girl who just sang in the shower and almost a year ago started singing in church, I wouldn’t sing in front of anyone because of being ashamed and embarrassed, But now that I have Jesus I sing for him , but I’m still learning and when I feel I can’t hit the higher notes I don’t try because of the fear of straining or damaging something, So I’m going to start doing these exercises and venture out beyond my comfort zone. These have been life changing for me. I’ve always loved singing but never sung. I didn’t learn to speak until I was 8. And then I didn’t know what singing was until I was 11 (I used to be deaf, I’m autistic diagnosed at 2, and don’t make basic connections) but by then I wasn’t allowed to sing and was put off singing and talking by bullies. I didn’t sing for a decade and after that only in private where I loved it so much and filled me with joy. It took 2 decades to actually feel confident in singing in front of my husband and family who have amazing feedback . I ‘train’ with these exercises most days for a few months and my husband says my vocal talent has gone from beautiful to amazing and even my neighbours say my covers of some songs like ‘rise up’ are really special and gorgeously better than original’ If they insist? I’ll never believe it though! All covers are beautiful in their own way because it’s that emotional journey, but anyhow! I still don’t really believe that I can ‘sing well’ but I sure do love it and nothing has really told me I can’t sing well I just have no confidence. It is growing with every week though. This just shows how rock bottom my confidence was before hehe. I never before thought of myself as a singer because I was embarrassed and never really sung before during childhood like others who can sing or who love singing. I only just realised I didn’t sing in childhood because I literally couldn’t even talk, I was deaf and when I learnt to talk I was bullied into being quiet with both talking and singing and never tried again! These training sessions have been life changing and I’ve realised that I adore singing and no matter how ill or bad or disabled I am (I have chronic agonising incurable rare diseases and severe disabilities) singing and training will fill me with energy and sparkles no matter what. It least now I know I’m not totally talentless and that it can also grow! I’m a world award winning international motivational speaker and autism advocate- I started these training exercises with the intention of learning how to breath and project and use dynamic ms and not faint on stage from chesty catcher breaths and protect vocal damage from talking for hours to a stadium etc . Here I am, realising I can sing and adore it with a huge passion. I won’t sing in front of anyone without fainting but I have more confidence and self love and a new go-to healing session to make me feel better and more joyous now! So thank you Cheryl! You’ve helped my career but also helped me find a whole new passion I never knew existed before. You’re amazing!
