To increase women empowerment defence should not be used. it can be the international conspiracy to increase the proportion of female in the defence to erode the actual fighting capacity of Indian forces In the name of women empowerment our policymakers may be misled. Secondly there should not be woman reservation also. It is general observation and fact that Women cannot give that much of time to employers and generally lack functional dynamicity as compare to their male counterparts although with exception of some women in any sphere. So in the name of female workforce participation only the overall productivity and output may be negatively affected. Workforce participation should be on the basis of overall employment generation and not on the basis of reservations

Israel uses similar scheme and the former Israeli soldiers who were in reserve have returned to serve the country post Hamas attack..!!

@@bainsjonsen4917 such a useless thing to say... Military training and services are mandatory in countries like Israel and South Korea because of their sizes and challenges... Which are obviously not the same as we see in India... The administrative structures and ours are different.. I don't think that in a country like India it's not necessary to bulk the size of the army but to modernize the armoury... maintain a discreet number of fit soldiers to operate.. and after a certain time it will be on the armed forces to decide what number they want to keep or release.. serving in army is not mandatory like Israelis but what agnipath does is focuses on fresh and trained caps.. instead of bulking the size of the forces.. I anyway explained this to you why it makes nosense to hold guns in your hand if you're an Indian but the point you brought out for comparison is hilarious... The US has a population of 300+ million people... and they have a gun law.. they went extra liberal for citizen security that citizens could keep guns.. and boom gunfire casualties is a normal thing is US.. and we are just trying to be in somewhere in the middle ground.. So please never give this gun analogy anyone you will only make a fool of yourself..

Asking Chief of defence how you are keeping yourself fit, reminds me of "aap 18-18 ghante kam kaise karte hai ya aap aam kis tarah se khate hai. Madam pl remember you are talking to a CDS. Even an ordinary army personnel at the lowest level remains fit for life.

I thought our CDS’s name was Manoj Pandey. Manoj Pandey was a martyr’s name in the list of 2000 millennium RDC bravery medals awarded posthumously. But he is Anil Chauhan.
