Just to throw another opinion on this - when a performance is that incredible, the crowd could be quiet because they just want to listen. Another example of that is Imogen Heap's TED Talk where she shows off the mi.mu gloves; when she sings "Just For Now" I swear you can hear a pin drop. Pure magic sometimes deserves that silence, where you can just listen and let their voices sink in. It can stun you into magic silence.

I’m pretty sure the crowd was quite because they would film it, they didn’t want extra noise to ruin their delicate harmonies. You see a lot of people filming. And it’s a limited amount of people. Making extra noise and excessive movement would of been distracting or disrespectful
