Best Christmas Day Ever 1306
MERRY CHRISTMAS!! It’s finally here! Adley, Niko, and Navey are setting out cookies to leave for Santa when he brings our gifts tonight. Adley is helping Navey pore some eggnog, Niko is getting carrots for rudolph and the other reindeer while Jenny and I are getting ready to give the kiddos some early Christmas presents. Before we forget, this morning we had our last visit from Snowy our elf on a shelf. She brought a note as well as her little elf sister. Navey wanted to name the baby elf Anna like from Frozen, however Adley and Niko decide that we should name her snowball. We are excited to have another elf to join our family traditions.
After a good nights sleep, Niko Bear is the first one awake and gets the family up so we can see if Santa Claus came. We do our normal Christmas morning routine, get every one awake before I head down as the official checker to make sure all the presents are ready for the family. We instantly see huge pile of black and gray blocks that look like tons of fun. We can make forts and make a ball pit. It’s an amazing christmas already. After we go through all the surprises in our stockings, we move on to unwrapping and unboxing gifts. Niko got tons of minecraft things like games, lights, and toys. Adley received a new doll, a squishy, and craft supplies. Navey got an Santa car, an amazing pillow, and a sink (because she loves playing in the sink). Jenny got me some custom Settlers of Catan pieces while i got her soft ball gear and a printer to help her with her passion for photography. But our big gift to Adley and Niko are brand new snowboards along with all the gear they will need like boats, helmets, and goggles. OH, i can’t wait to ride in the powder with these kiddos!!
After we get some breakfast and then Navey and Niko want to play in the new fort. Jenny and the kiddos start building the castle, Adley and I join in to get completely box in the kiddos. Once the roof is all set, Niko hulk smashes down the walls. It’s so much fun!! My Dad shows up and has a few more presents for the kiddos. An art set for Adley and a remote control T-rex for Niko Bear.
We get ready and head over to spend some time with Jenny’s family. They have a great Christmas day game where the kiddos have to punch holes in paper over cups to get surprises. Adley and Niko love it, while hanging with their cousins. Afterwards, we join my dad and sisters for some outdoor ice skating. Adley is getting pretty good, while Niko and Navey are too small for skates, so we help them walk on the ice. Niko learns how to slide on his knees while Navey is a wild dare devil child just kicking her legs out everywhere. We snag some warm breakfast foods before heading back home to play with toys before it’s bedtime.
What an amazing Christmas, we hope you all had an amazing day with your families, enjoying the gifts you received. Hope you had a Best Christmas ever!!
