I love the sound. Like its been recorded on an old cassette players condenser mic. The amount of hours i spent with the 5 band eq settings for certain tapes was as intense as the music back before any real fidelity of sound was taken for granted. The world was a mysterious wasteland.Good times

1st heard them on alternative radio in New Zealand, back when I was a kid; opened my ears to a whole new universe. They remained a mystery to me though, until having moved to Brighton, England, I found the "Inworlds" 12" and the Ralph Records "Subterranean Modern" compilation in a basement 2nd-hand shop. Spent most of the 80's with them scrawled on the back of my leather jacket, then added a tattoo on my inner forearm. They were also the main influence behind the 'AcidPunx' sigil that I'd created as my 1st ever tattoo circa 85. So... 'Influential? Hell ,YES!

My friends left on a boat to retrieve a sword from an Island in the Withlacoochie River. I opted to stay land-based in position on The High Lenai and listen to Chrome “Half Machine Lip Moves” and I think of my decision as all-victory

My favorite Chrome album. Followed close by a bunch more! Edge and Creed took me on space travels to the corners of psyche and back.

I remember my brother in law visiting me years ago.I had this record on.At about 19:07 into half machine lip moves he was like,what the hell is this shit,I go just listen man,.. it started morphing and reeling then he's like,this fuckin rocks!! Ahahaha 🤘.

I've read that Chrome has been credited as the "beginning of industrial rock" in 1978. Sad to inform you that the very first example of industrial rock is from Italy in 1977 with the singer Leo Nero and the song "Una Gabbia per me".

The first time I listened to this album, I felt like I'd been smacked in the head with a baseball bat.

Why did nobody told me about this band until now?
