@Invictus maneo PaxAmericana I think I read that they use 40% of land for green space. And what do you mean with the lost of individuality? East - Southease Asian culture is revolved around family. Duty to the family before individuality as far as I know. I think asians already found a balance between individuality and everything else.

As an American, I am continuously shocked at what it actually look like when a country is governed in a way that is dedicated to improving and sustaining a good quality of life for its people. America is the richest country on the planet and it is a shame that we do not even attempt half of these policy’s and projects. Such a beautiful thing to see a country that strive for innovation first, and not profits above all else like the US has.

As a Singaporean, I would recommend Singapore as a great place to visit and if possible to stay for a few months, soak in the innovative vibe and take in as many ideas as you can. But like Japan, be forewarned the pace is intense. As days turn into months and months turn into years, it will wear you out. There is always someone better after your job, some other company trying to destroy yours. If you get a good business running, it is tempting to run it 7 days a week. The money can be good. Taxes are low. The time will come when you will yearn for less crowds and more wide open spaces and your own space, and this city living will become a pleasant curse. Pleasant because it is safe and clean and how long you want to tolerate it before it drives you crazy.

I am Brazilian and I had the pleasure of spending 3 months in this incredible country. I went on business and was impressed how the country works so well in so many ways. The combination of the collective disposition of its native people and those who choose Singapore to live in, together with the government tools that strive for the country's general modernity, is what makes Singapore such a wonderful gem. Besides being one of the most amazing places to go sightseeing, it's a magnificent place to think about living forever.

Singapore was essentially a benevolent dictatorship under Lee Kuan Yew for decades after independence. This was a non-trivial contributor to sustainable long-term planning and development in the city-state. The contrast is stark compared to Hong Kong's plutocratic rule by wealthy developers and mandarins from London and now Beijing.

But it is also because most of them do not have to worry about food / shelters, and thus they can focus on doing what they love. I'm watching this documentary because I just returned from visiting Singapore for the first time, and I was HIGHLY impressed by this city/state. It really shines in terms of cleanliness, organization, technology, and architecture. It is right up there with Tokyo as my favorite cities in the world. There's so much more I'd like to explore so I'm going back soon. And this documentary made me that much more excited, seeing how forward-thinking Singaporeans are. I can't wait to see what this city will be like in 50 years.

@@FeeDBacKMKII As a Singaporean, I'd say a week would suffice. It's very small here, so travelling around doesn't take up much time, hence you can actually do a lot in a day. But ultimately, it really depends on what you're planning to do. If your spending budget is quite high, I'd say 2 weeks would be great to experience a lot of things & you can really take your time to enjoy the moments. The number 1 thing to do here is to actually eat, eat & eat. I can confidently say that we have the best food anywhere, & there're PLENTY of varieties. Elon assumed that Singapore was "opposing alternative vehicles" as our income would rely on fossil fuels. However, we hit back hard with the data that individual electric vehicles is less of a movement to protect the environment and instead a way to capitalise on the fact that it is a "Lifestyle" and that it would be more effective to have a Mass-Public Transport system that could reduce the number of vehicles, and there could also eventually be alternatively powered public transport as well.

@Abraham Gibran so is number 1, what's the point

@@ker1SHxD I think his point is, there are countries that have a good math and science curriculum but religion can be a big problem despite the good that it brings when citizens are not wise about it.

@@ker1SHxD actually, number 2 is more important than number 1. It provides equal chances for all. This will reduce any possible hostility between races which would thus get Singapore going as there’s a decrease in violence.

It is an impressive and concessionary video. Thanks to this video we can understand smoothly that we have to follow technology and its novelties. This video must be watched to everyone to express that why Singapore is one of the best. Thanks for this video.
