As an American, I am continuously shocked at what it actually look like when a country is governed in a way that is dedicated to improving and sustaining a good quality of life for its people. America is the richest country on the planet and it is a shame that we do not even attempt half of these policy’s and projects. Such a beautiful thing to see a country that strive for innovation first, and not profits above all else like the US has.

i have visited Singapore, and find it clean, the people polite, the city well organized, and a people who are proud of the self-sustainability and country. That city is candy to one's eyes, with great food. Was I impressed? yes

As a Singaporean, I would recommend Singapore as a great place to visit and if possible to stay for a few months, soak in the innovative vibe and take in as many ideas as you can. But like Japan, be forewarned the pace is intense. As days turn into months and months turn into years, it will wear you out. There is always someone better after your job, some other company trying to destroy yours. If you get a good business running, it is tempting to run it 7 days a week. The money can be good. Taxes are low. The time will come when you will yearn for less crowds and more wide open spaces and your own space, and this city living will become a pleasant curse. Pleasant because it is safe and clean and how long you want to tolerate it before it drives you crazy.

I had the opportunity to go to Singapore back in 2006, and a good deal of the city was still under construction. Looking at this now it's truly astounding how far the city has come; Truly amazing.

I am Brazilian and I had the pleasure of spending 3 months in this incredible country. I went on business and was impressed how the country works so well in so many ways. The combination of the collective disposition of its native people and those who choose Singapore to live in, together with the government tools that strive for the country's general modernity, is what makes Singapore such a wonderful gem. Besides being one of the most amazing places to go sightseeing, it's a magnificent place to think about living forever.

At least some places are thinking about the longer term than just the next quarter or election.

I love Singapore, being ex merchant navy I visited many times and spent days waiting for my ship so I could board. Even back then some 15 to 20 years ago when I was last there, it was a vibrant clean and exciting place to be. The culture of Singapore is vibrant and oh so friendly. One was always aware of the greenery wherever one went. It is no surprise to me that it continues to excel. A beautiful country and people for sure.

Got to give Singapore all the credits. It is such a small country with no natural resources, has a short history and within the last fifty years has achieved so much.

Just got back from Singapore, and yes. This country is on another league in terms of tech and attitude. World class!

It really shines in terms of cleanliness, organization, technology, and architecture. It is right up there with Tokyo as my favorite cities in the world. There's so much more I'd like to explore so I'm going back soon. And this documentary made me that much more excited, seeing how forward-thinking Singaporeans are. I can't wait to see what this city will be like in 50 years.

WOW! this was an INCREDIBLE watch! I knew a little about Singapore due to my liking of LKY but my admiration for the country and its competent leadership is through the roof after watching this!

Watching this short video about technological innovations to enhance the quality of life of humanity has flooded my imagination with so much potentials, so much possibilities, and designs for urbanization, farming, education, and government structures for the States of America, to name a few. Amazing.

Also to note: Elon Musk tried to make a TESLA partnership with Singapore. However Singapore declined that partnership. Elon assumed that Singapore was "opposing alternative vehicles" as our income would rely on fossil fuels. However, we hit back hard with the data that individual electric vehicles is less of a movement to protect the environment and instead a way to capitalise on the fact that it is a "Lifestyle" and that it would be more effective to have a Mass-Public Transport system that could reduce the number of vehicles, and there could also eventually be alternatively powered public transport as well.

Lived in Singapore in the early 1980's,when serving with the New Zealand army,Singapore was our base as we trained and patrolled in the Malayan jungle.Enjoyed my time there and it has been great to see how Singapore has grown.Will stop over on my way to Europe in 2020.

The details found in this documentary is highly educational and informational which perhaps many wouldn't have known even if they live in Singapore. Singapore is not perfect by any measure, and so is every other city out there. Nevertheless, Singapore's achievements are remarkable relative to many other cities. I am proud to be Singaporean (in a humble way) and the amazing feats we have achieved thus far while we continue to push the boundaries of possibilities to surpass previous milestones. Kudos and heartfelt appreciation to the SG government, all Singaporeans as well as all the talented and hardworking foreigners living and working in Singapore, who have contributed extensively to this amazing city. I was probably born under a lucky star to be able to experience Singapore a few months back during a student exchange program at the NUS,and right from the societal congeniality as well as the overall sense of responsibility and passion for the labour and following dictums among the people was astounding in every sense of the word.Indeed Singapore is a true exemplar for the modern cities or rather world in totality.

Thanks for this great documentary, showing many sides of SG I don't know. Many of my friends who had been to SG before repeated, oh, SG is small, all around the marina bay is it. I would say what deserves more time is a deeper look of the country, other than just scenery. It did a great job within just 2 generation, and in many fields, have been model to other cities/countries. I personally would love to spend several months, to see more of it.
