There are men that box professionally who are not fundamentally sound or highly skilled. Reigning heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder comes to mind as do some others. Kindly take the chauvinistic biased blinders off and watch Clarissa and some of these other highly skilled women fight. Boxing is about levels period. Some are high level and some are low and it has nothing to do with gender. I am not a male feminist nor do I think women translate well (entertainment wise) to other male dominated sports like basketball or football, but I am an avid boxing fan and I look for and recognize skills first and foremost.

Plus there is none or very little heavyweights in woman's boxing as woman just aren't that size biologicaly

and I am a boxing trainer if I was training Shields i would train her to keep going to body and head, to slow Hammer movement's in ring plus have shields keep it a inside fight since Hammer has reach advantage, if Shields can smother hammer shots and keep her from throwing that strong jab, an take take that jab away the weapon, and shields can break hammer down with speed but don't get her careless in the attack, Shields can win it, that way.Hammer looks to get gassed from some fights, and they didn't go to body much but if Shields can do that, it can gass Hammer out from body.

Since 2013 against Mikaela Lauren, Hammer clinches, grapples and holds for dear life when the opponent gets close..she doesn't exchange at all..she just waits for the ref to break them. Hammer will improve her poor stamina for this fight, but she cannot run for 12 rounds. All her other opponents failed to go to the body enough or not at all. It wasn't because of hammer's skill that they didn't hit her body. It was because of her excessive holding and waiting for ref to break them. Footwork and jabs didn't stop Reis or Mathis from eventually catching her..and they are worse at cutting off the ring. The body shots will wear Hammer down in the championship rounds. There are so many ways for Shields to win, but only one way for Shields to lose...if Shields has an off night.
