Regardless of whether or not this show is good, the actor doing Clarice is doing a great impression of young Jodie Foster

The fact that they are not allowed to referr to Hannibal Lecter by name (because of right issues) makes this whol endeavour somehow strange. Same goes for "Hannibal" and the fact that they were not allowed to include Clarice in their series... With the latter it wasn't such a problem, because it was a prequel, but here...?

It's gonna be hard not to compare this to Hannibal. Especially considering how fantastic that show was. But Hopefully this show can hold it's own.

Having Clarice in the universe of Fuller's Hannibal would have been so much more interesting. It's genuinely baffling to opt for a brand new show deriving from the universe of Hannibal when Fuller's show is right! there! full of potential and with still a lot of things to show to its audience. I can get behind Clarice having her own show, that's not the problem - but like this? Completely separate from the series? Without first seeing her character existing with Mads Mikkelsen's version of Hannibal, Hugh Dancy's version of Will, Laurence Fishburne's version of Jack Crawford? This just feels like a gigantic waste.

After watching Mads' performance as Dr Lecter, everything else looks so plain!!

This makes me miss Hannibal, the TV show. Visually and psycologically it was one of the best show. I want it back.

I have to take the side of the majority here and say that this will suck without Hannibal. Bring Hannibal S04 instead! Bring back Mads and Hugh! And put the fucking lotion in the basket!

This is just generally a very weird idea. Clarice Starling HAD a plot after Silence of the Lambs, but they only have rights to make references to that one book/movie, so they're just writing fanfiction? Might be decent, but just really bizarre.

I love Rebecca Breeds. She was amazing as Aurora in "The Originals".

Based on trailer it looks more like a psychological view of Clarice rather than a thriller

Of course it's not as good as Silence of lambs with Judy Foster and Antony Hopkins, hard to equal one of the best thriller ever made. However, it's an excellent follow-up to the story of Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal and Red Dragon. The critics are EXTREMELY harsh over this show because it is pretty damn scary, the suspence is excellent, the story makes sense and there is plenty of action and psychological drama in there. It's IMO better than Hannibal and Red dragon which were pretty decent movies. There are many fresh new ideas and explanation to the plot. Of course I watched all 3 movies. Hannibal and Red dragon aren't necessary to watch because Hannibal's name is hardly ever mentionned. However, you should definitrly watch Silence of the Lambs because the entité story of Clarice revolve around that. If you didn't watch it, you wouldn't understand a lot of the stuff going on which are central to the plot. For me it's a 9/10.

Imagine if we got hannibal season 4 we wouldn't have been shown through out half the trailer silence of the lambs and we would have a hannibal

I never watched Hannibal, like so many other commentators, so I don't have that bias against going into this. But... I really WANTED this to look good... and it just doesn't to me. It feels cliche'd... like we'll all be able to predict everything that's going to happen, and every "big" line of dialog, 15 seconds before it happens. Because we've seen those scenes and lines of dialog written before.

I know I'll watch it, but it's going to be compared to the Hannibal TV series at every turn, and based solely on the trailer it isn't coming off well.

Hannibal with Mads and Fishburn was next level. This looks a bit dull compared to that.

The show looks decent, I’m happy to see Clarice again in full colour, but this feels weirdly displaced considering Hannibal was such a brilliant take on the same universe so recently. I wish they’d have just partnered up and made a Hannibal season 4 with Will and Hannibal now ‘working’ side by side again as the villains and this Clarice front and centre trying to catch them. Would have been very interesting!

How we getting this but no Hannibal reboot? That show DESERVED a 4th season.

As a forensic psychologist and former criminal investigator, aside from the campy shit, this is actually pretty good. Profiling techniques and interview strategies are spot on.

There's no Clarice without Hannibal

Looks like this could have been any police/detective procedural and they just stuck the SOTL branding on it for more viewers. Doesn't look bad but I'm not going to be anticipating it's release.

I was sceptical but I like the tone and the direction they're taking this. Clarice Starling is one of my favorite characters of all time.

What I would say is that, after she let Lector inside her head to get into his and gain his help, but came out of it sane and caught the scumbag where nobody else could? I am five episodes in and every one of them seems to be about Clarice having to constantly prove how good she is and everybody is against her. As such it is spoiling the storyline and was done in the Agent Carter programme.

Nobody wants a SOTL spin off ( really mean Hannibal spin off) without Mad's in it, or any of that incredible cast from Brian's Hannibal. Why do TV insist on making shows that just lack any interest or body. Even the original SOTL film is best known for Hannibal in that cell just staring, not really for Clarice...

DAMN, I LOVE this show! Not much else to say other than it is completely streamable still.

My only complaint with this series is that Hannibal Lecter isn't in it. In fact, I heard he can't even be mentioned. I'll admit. I had my doubts about this show. Mainly because I'm a hard core Hannibal fan but this trailer has intrigued me. I'm gonna give it a chance and see how it goes.

This just makes me miss NBCs Hannibal even more , that show was amazing and it at least had Hannibal Lecter in it , I even prefer Mads Mikkelsen over Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal Lecter which i thought couldn't be possible cause i loved Hopkins in the role. I have the feeling Clarice the show tries hard to be Hannibal especially with the cinematography and the slow motion shots . Don't know what to think of that. Bryan Fuller established that unique style and to just copy that here makes me a little iffy about the show already. I wish they would have just given us Hannibal Season 4 with Clarice in it but let's see what this show does, maybe it's decent

I know literally everyone would rather have season 4 of hannibal over this because Clarice would have been instrumental in moving that story forward and Bryan Fuller worked so hard to try to make that happen but it looks like that's just never going to come to fruition at this point. I hate to say it but If there was any hope in hell that we would get that, this show has made it painfully clear it's not happening. So we're going to have to come to terms with it, and hope they at least pull the character off here in this weird version that can't even mention Hannibal. Honestly It looks like it could be good, but it's CBS, so who knows.
