Subnetting playlist include 5 examples of subnetting.
• subnetting is simple
1. Subnetting is Simple
2. Subnetting a subnet - Sunny way
3. Class B ID subnetting
4. VLSM subnetting - CompTIA Network + Simulation Question & Solution
5. VLSM Subnetting - subnetting a subnet
Example 1
Suppose I have a class B ID: 172.16.0.0/16,
and I want to create 4 new subnets.
Here are three questions I am going to answer:
1) What is the new subnet mask?
2) How many usable host IDs for each new subnet?
3) List each network ID, the useable host ID range, and broadcast ID.
Example 2
Given the same ID: 172.16.0.0/16, we want to create 1000 subnets. Here are three questions to answer:
1. What is the new subnet mask?
2. How many useable host IDs are there for each subnet?
3. What is each new network ID, its host range, and its broadcast ID.

As so many have said, your accent is an asset, not a hinderance. It helps me stay focused and learn what you are saying THE FIRST TIME, because the cadence is not standard American, and I do not start daydreaming while you are talking because my brain is actively engaging with your accent.

Who needs meditation when he can listen to your voice explaining class B subnetting? Thank you for making these videos , you're a rare gem. I've got a question though, how can you tell when to divide by 256? Can you tell me in what circumstances I need to divide by 256? Because I noticed you didn't do any division in the second example.
@sunnyclassroom24
@sunnyclassroom24 4 роки тому
every 256 in the 4th octet is 1 in the third octet. Thus, if the number of hosts is more than 256 you need to divide by 256. If the maximum number of hosts in any subnet is less than 256, do not use division.
