I’m glad to see that they used a song similar to season 1s op. The visuals are really similar to tomodachi games although it’s foreshadowing to events that happened in the light novel. I can’t wait for wait for them to get adapted

That last part with Ayanokoji wearing the mask fits his character so well.

This opening is actually so good, my favorite part is when Ryuen’s part comes on scene.

You can see very well that Ryuen will play an essential role as an antagonist. In addition, the second self of the characters was symbolized very well, especially in Ayanokouji and Kushida. I like how Openings shows different things symbolically and metaphorically. You can interpret so much into it. All in all it's a very good opening.

The intro is godly it shows how everybody has two side of themselves an some people even wear mask to appear different on the outside compared to their inside an that the one who’s the most different is Ayanakoji which is dipicted when the screen splits his face to two side an when he wears his mask while their is a side with no damage which is his outside persona the left side is damaged to were the eye is which could mean that he has seen an gone through many difficult trails an they are imbedded into him

0:07 ive come up with a bizarre theory. Butterflies were included into each of the images until the picture became smaller and we couldnt see them anymore. Each picture had them turning around noticing brightness and light. Light symbolises happiness and in this case im gonna reference the light to a person. Butterflies mean evolution and metamorphosis right. But they also mean hope and rebirth. Horikita being the first one showed had a rebirth and changed ever since meeting ayanokoji and was given hope later on in the series when she was worthy enough to meet with her brother. In this case ayanokoji would of been the light and the hope would of been manabu. Hasebe tripped me up a little but then i realised the light was akito. And her hope was fitting in and finding a place to truly belong. Im not gonna go into dept about each character but i will say this makes sense because kushida and ibuki if you pay attention was not included in these sequences. Kushida has no hope, no evolution and no one to rely on. But i will go on to explain tachibana because everyone is confused why she is included. In later volumes tachibana is facing expulsion until her hope manubu saves her and she is given evolution and changes after that. This makes sense because she is one of the last of the women in first year who evolves and has the last character development arc I may be overthinking but this is the best i have

I’m so glad I lived past 2020 for this masterpiece to return.
