Pro tip: water does help smooth clay BUT adding TO MUCH water can make it crack while baking/drying. Just a little help also it may depend on the clay you use. ☺️

I have a question, when using pottery clay do u have to bake it or just let it dry without a kiln or something and does clay trays mold? And I need a few tips since I’m starting clay soon

Clay trays as in dried clay like the cow plate? If the clay is dry I'm pretty sure it won't mold as long as you keep it clean. As for un-dry clay, I have the same bucket of clay I've been using for over a year (kept in an air-tight container) and have yet to see any speck of mold. Hope this helps :)

I recently started using fimoAIR idk if its available to you but it works sooooo nicely! Its super soft so i don’t think it will work good with big(height wise) stuff but it hasn‘t cracked on my no matter how much water i used!

I saw Lvett diys video she did drop test and which one cracks when drys and 2 air dry clays survived which was creative paper clay and das she said her favourite one was paper clay so if you cannot find paper clay then buy dash these are the best ones
