I've literally never fangirled for any book or movie but I am fan girling so much over divergent and I've never read a book more than once and I'm re-reading divergent again I'm on chapter 33 where every1 is slowly falling into the trance and omg it's amazing and theo is officially my first celeb crush and I just can't it's amazing

Theo always protects Shai. He's older than her so its normal. Shai is so generous and always turn to Theo to ask him his feeling... I like when at the end of the interview he says "Shai/Tris" its confuse and it's so similar... ho ho in French we say "lapsus révélateur" which means that these words reveals the reality because if he makes no difference between the character of Tris and the actress Shailene, there is something to analyze (please call the doctor Freud) and he talk about true love (ho ho... it is a revelation?). And when Shai talks about its favourite scene she says the best of her life (the full moon... so romantic and sexy... look Theo's eyes when he listens to her and so surprised when she says the best moment of her life... its strong to say that. it was very special and he seems so sensitive to her words) !!! I totally get that it can be slightly disappointing when scenes are skipped or the order of them are shifted but also remember the complexity and level of difficulty it takes to convert a book into a movie. You essentially must choose which scenes you believe the readers will connect to the most or which scenes are the most pivotal in terms of character and plot development. So yeah they did exclude some of the scenes we have come to know but I believe Neil, the writers, and the cast did a phenomenal job of laying down the ground work for the next 3 movies.

The movie was ok, it was no where near as good and detailed as the book. Don't get me wrong, theo and tris did a veryyyy good job but the scene transitions were very choppy and the movie skipped a lot of important parts and didn't explain the characters as well. Neil didn't really strengthen and grow tris's and fours relationship as good as the book did.
