So far in our adventures on climate change and health, we’ve covered the critical issue of how our water supply is impacted by a warming planet, and that is a perfect segue into something equally important: The impact of climate change on food security.

@@nomms Also will they be fertile, both within there own strain and with any other crops/plants. If no this might not be in the interests of the farmer, if yes this might not be in the interests of the general environment or other farmers. Have they been tested for there effect on pollinators, or even on pests (note pests are often the food for other species, so protecting one plant may causes problems for others. And finally have we tested the safety of the produce, given US normal safety last attitude, I guess not.

The not growing things in areas without a lot of water and using better irrigation is definitely something needed in the American South West. We talk about water shortages out here but it is not the people that are causing this it is the large farms that don't plant crops that don't need as much water and don't use water properly. We need to start charging companies money to use the water and and that especially includes companies that make bottled water as they are taking it away from the people.

Water is generally healthier for people to drink than the alternative, there are a fair number of places where drinkable tap water is hard to obtain so if one wants/needs to live, hike and walk in that area they serve a practical purpose. I don't see a reason to specifically identify them as a problem. I completely agree with your other point, I live in Australia and cotton farmers routinely take so much water out of the Murray Darling and leak so much fertiliser that algal blooms lead to mass fish die offs. The problem is people and governments have infinite growth mindsets where they think one can keep improving on drip fed water/technological solutions to reduce water-waste forever. At the end of the day choices have to be made about who gets water and why and who doesn't get water and why. To solve the problem ideally you'd grow crops in the areas most able to support them and organise labour and money appropriately in order to achieve that. Farmers who specialise in thirsty crops in countries which can't support that could learn to change crops or migrate to areas better suited for their skillset and the reverse.

What you posted is based on studies by climate alarmists bent on reducing the world's population, because they can't stand the fact that more food is being grown on less acres, because of the increase in CO2. The problem of climate change is becoming increasingly serious. The news sends out warning sirens every day, but the government appears to be unable to come up with any significant countermeasures. The problem of climate change is expanding beyond domestic political, social, and economic issues to become a global problem. However, each country is in sharp conflict over the issue of each other's interests. Modern civilization, which began to develop rapidly after the Industrial Revolution, began to accelerate change once again in conjunction with digital transformation since the 2000s. However, signs of ecosystem destruction, such as various waste problems, pandemics, and global warming, are being observed everywhere. As the melting rate of Arctic ice is accelerating, sea levels are rising, and localized heavy rains, heat waves, and droughts are becoming common in some countries. This is one of the most difficult problems facing humanity. Humanity's current life is not sustainable, which means we live at the expense of the lives of future generations. Signs showing that humanity is moving in the wrong direction are already easy to find. One of them is the climate crisis and the decline in biodiversity.

In 2019, more children died from matters related to obesity, than to matters of malnutrition and starvation. The world produced 25% more food than it needed, this was mainly because of fossil fuel based fertilizers and an increase in CO2 in the atmosphere. Yes, in 2019 people died from malnutrition and starvation, but that was because of either politics, war, or logistics. What changed in 2020, was the manufactured sickness, and its manufactured response. There is no "Climate Crisis"..... wake up, people like the "doctor" in this video are shills.
