I was about to say the exact same! And I love that he puts back the little ones, I know people who catch and cook who keep the little critters and just let them die, and he’s getting stuff for his father! He could of only got stuff for himself but he’s thoughtful. What a nice guy :)

God in his infinite grace blessed us with creatures that have pure lives. We must never violate his gifts. I can see that this man truly understands this concept.

I grew up doing just this! On Cape Cod Massachusetts, Lobster, soft shelled clams, oysters, razor clam that cut you fingers right up and we have quahogs (hard shelled clams).

hell yeah done well mate nice selection of free food and i bet john was happy with his ormers .. its always nice to get out and on a old well known mark makes the forage easier if you know where to look .you should have kept that rubber egg and washed it and put in for jen to cook lmao .. take care dude keep well and safe

No a chitton are a bit like a limpet , yeah gapers are a smaller relitive of the geoduck, I’m not a fan of them but I will try an cook them a different way

My fisherman friend told me that the sole fish was the only catch he’d eat as it’s the only fish without worms....delightful😀 but the sole were delicious. Those and North Sea prawns...oh man.

Another canny video... I saw in a recent video where you did garlic butter for a lobster and wondered if Guernsey has any places where Wild Garlic (Allium Ursinum) grows and if so do you ever forage for that, or in fact do you forage inland much or is it just on the beaches and rocks?
