Because America can't tell everyone else in the world what to do if it has its own president sitting in jail. It will NEVER happen.

Two main reasons: 1. They have secret service protecting them until they die. So there would have to be secret service in the prison 24/7. The logistics on that would be a nightmare 2. Well known people aren't generally put into general population for their safety. What would really need to happen is the laws be updated by Congress (won't ever happen. Congress can barely tie their shoes) to where a former president who is found guilty of a felony, would lose secret service protection.
