Reminded me of 1972 coin roll hunting. We were 8 years off the silver coin standard. I learned quickly to hunt the half dollars. Pre 64 were a plentiful. But also had the government stupidly of minting 40% silver half dollars from 1965-1970. I would buy 10 rolls at a time. 1 mile bike ride with a small bank bag to and from the bank. The tellers were extremely helpful, the coins did not need to be rolled. They ran everything thru the coin counter. If I remember silver was $3.20 face to $1 of silver. Great memories thanks.

Great score man! I have yet to have that large of a score for dimes. Have had a 62 silver quarter box and a 165 silver nickel box. But you made me grab the bag of dimes next to me and start going through it… first handful had a 54 with a hole in it 🫤. But I will take it. Its silver

At 52 silver dimes, every 12 dimes is 1 Troy ounce. So you found roughly 4.33 Troy ounces. At today’s spot price of $27.68 that gets you to $122.25 minus the $5.20 you spent means your total profit was $117.05 which is amazing for half an hours work. Congratulations young man for a most impressive hunt and don’t be sad that none of them were mercury dimes. Rosy just wanted to show off for you. Lol

You need to go back through the discards and check for dark edges, you will probably find a couple more.

I have the worst luck with dimes. Went thru over 10 boxes last year and found more silver dimes with my metal detector. Found 2 with detector none in all those boxes. But their is redemption. Last week i got a box of half dollars and found 22 40% halves and 1 90%. Crazy box, was blown away. Never thought id find a box like that. Now about 6 years ago i was just into pennies. Found a box of pennies that had around 120 wheats and 11 indian heads. Went back to that bank and bought all the pennies thay would sell me but none were as food as that 1 box by a mile. What im bummed about is i never thought to get other denominations to see. Oh well live and learn. I did go back and get 2 more boxes of halves from the bank recently both had 0. Its the way it goes.

Wish I got silver dump. Can’t complain got a collection dump containing 69 wheat cents. DEAD SERIOUS💀 But I found a steel cent to. The first box had no wheat cents some how but it had an ms64 1967 canada cent. Also One roll in collection dump had both wheat enders and there was like 48 in the roll!

Please excuse me for being a bit skeptical but how come you didnt open any of those rolls while recording? Wasnt that a lot of editing? I mean, you edited out the most important part. There's a saying, IF IT WASNT RECORDED, IT DIDNT HAPPEN. But with that said, I really hope this was real for your sake.

Great question! I would be skeptical too if I watched someone find that many silver dimes and they didn’t show opening the rolls. That being said I am new to UKposts and trying to record and edit everything while opening the rolls it’s hard. I was very excited in the moment and all I wanted to do was open the next roll😂. I didn’t own a tripod when I recorded the video so I couldn’t open the rolls and record at the same time. Half way through I grabbed a box to put my phone on so I could record opening the rolls and I did find a lot on camera but you are right I should have done it all on camera. That night I ordered a tripod so all my new videos are live openings! I know you don’t know me and any old person can lie but I am not. I really did find that many silver dimes.
