Well first of all he didn't win by default. If your opponent cannot continue due to an injury, that's scored as a TKO. And he's unhappy about winning a fight he knows he was losing. At least that's what's what I think. In which case that still speaks highly of him if ask me.

I appreciate the sportsmanship in wanting to continue the fight. It's a shit thing to happen to someone and I hope Badr recovers so they can continue. But to be frank - being able to last in a fight, is part of the fight. Badr is a hurricane. A hurricane that unfortunately damages himself too much to get through this match. If he tempered it, and he would have managed to wear Rico down, then that would be a tactical victory.

In terms of durability.. the longer this fight would have lasted, the more rico would have had the edge. in terms of kicks.. rico 100% leg stability.. same. I'm sorry, but Badr's thug attitude makes him a terrible ambassador for the sport. Great athlete? Yes. Great sportsman? Absoluhuuuutely not. Remember this guy has been disqualified from 2 major tournament finals (1 of which the K1 itself) because of an illegal strike AFTER a knockdown. This guy should've never been allowed to fight professionally again. He ruptured Bonjasky's eye socket and basically ended Bonjasky's career by jumping onto his head while Bonjasky was down. Badr only puts the sport in a bad light.
