Underrated performance by AJ! He did what he had to do! Just basic boxing and playing it smart and his defensive is improving! Derrick James is a brilliant coach for AJ!! Let’s have AJ back in the summer and December!

I’ve tried to get an answer to the question but no one seems to have one. See how James is telling him not to blow his nose in the first round? I think it was cautious because his nose was broken in camp or before the fight. There were snippets in the changing rooms and his vest was already covered in blood before the fight.

AJ has improved his defense, he just needs a little more practice throwing punches faster while maintaining high guard. Very good performance.

Don’t underestimate AJ. Stil my favourite HW boxer and always will be. I have a feeling he still will become undisputed… you watch! I won’t give up on him achieving this that’s for sure

Onlu decent person was fury, or Ortiz who was ancient by that point. Aj is technically better, more skilled, I think harder puncher, and just a better fighter overall. Wilder only gave the right hand. That’s all. Aj has a lot more. I’m going with AJ for the win by KO. Quicker than what fury did

Im sorry but i dont see the problem people have with AJ in this fight. He dominated just about the whole fight. His jab looked good, he won the inside game, his defence was decent. Seems like some are basically saying if he ever gets hit hes weak and if he doesnt knock someone out hes lost his power. This was a conssumate performance to me.

Aj won but it was a poor outing by my rating. I put boxers like Lenox or Mike etc in his place and you immediately find that this match wouldn't have dragged beyond the fourth or fifth round at the most.

I agree. It was a good win, but not an inspiring one. Make no mistake people expect blood and guts from World Champion Heavyweights, not just good skills. Usyck is highly skilled and entertaining, Tyson is just a big tree waiting to be chopped down. Good to see Joshua back, but I sensed a degree of hesitancy about this fight, almost a desire not to lose being more important than the desire to make a sriously big statement about 'being back'.

A fight that was meant to boost his confidence. He struggled a bit and often getting caught by big right hand. He is still a good fighter, but against formidable opponents, uuumm he still needs more time competing with little known opponents.

AJ is like Frank Bruno was. He can win any fight but he can also be outboxed when he chooses wrong tactics. It's hard to say whether Otto Wallin I slower or faster than AJ. We will learn that after a few rounds in their coming bout, and that decides who is going to win.

I love AJ but I feel like people are in denial about his potential and improvement. He’s not a great fluid fighter, he’s very robotic and doesn’t seem to put more than a 3 punch combo together. One I feel Eddie Reynoso would help him with is moving his damn head off the line. Fury and even wilder will catch him easily because he’s always there to hit. Taller fighters with reach will have no problem hitting him. I love AJ and just wish him the best

I just think putting on weight is bad for him. His size though makes it difficult for him to be a fighter with constant head movement. His head is always still I just see wilder finding it early. And fury will just jab

@@123beserk he has a low fight IQ and his mobility is horrible before watching Joshua fight I thought he was more of a Ali type where he can bounce around but I was disappointed with his style but always hoped someone would develop his defense but it never happened. Still believe canelos trainer can help him a lot more because Canelo has a good style for Joshua to use
