One important step for Windows 10 users is missing, where you have to go to Windows feaures On/off and enable smb file sharing without which the the router usb printer utility do not display the connect Printer. Otherwise the video is awesome..

Thanks for the video! I successfully connected my HP M452dn to the TP-link router and the computer which previously connected to the printer through a USB cable can now print through wifi. However, I cannot connect other computers to this printer. Should I install the printer through a USB cable first? I installed the TP-Link printer controller to these computers but the app cannot detect the printer (while I disconnected the wifi, the printer will show up but says "IP address is in a different subnet from your PC"). How should I do? Thanks!

Hi local guy , thanks for this video. Just wonder , after install the “print server driver” into the router , the connected pc/laptop need to stay on or can be turn off or remove ? What if those router don’t have USB port , can I use those usb-Ethernet Lan port and install the “router’s print server driver” and use the same way ? Assume the OEM router have those print server driver for download . Thanks

It is still wired to router. You can say network printer in other words but not WIFI. We can not take printer anywhere. Video is good and helpful. Thanks

For this method to work inbuilt usb print server functionality required. Check your usb port router support it or not. Usb to lan converter won't work.(cause it doesn't have print server) Thanks.

Put PC on similiar IP and subnet range as the tplink router for eg. if 255.255.255.0 is your subnet for tplink then put pc on same subnet.
