How is the better plying going higher “bait”? Wilson has much better ball placement and makes more special throws. He throws guys open, while Fields struggles to hit guys are a wide open.

Exactly haha. The thing I don’t understand is when they say things like “he didn’t have that much skill around him to put up video game numbers”, and although that might be true, WHO WAS HE PLAYING AGAINST?! Their toughest opponent BY FAR this year was Coastal Carolina, which they lost. Not saying Zach Wilson can’t be a great pro, I just don’t understand their logic sometimes.

@Que Truth I think it’s hilarious because there’s other QB’s who have similar style of play, but aren’t on Mahomes and Rogers level. Someone like a Drew Lock would be a better comparison, IMO. NOT saying he won’t be a great QB, just always seems like a reach when someone who has a rocket arm is IMMEDIATELY compared to those two now. It’s just a bit unfair to Zack Wilson because it puts a lot of unnecessary pressure on him. Just like last year when analysts were comparing Burrow to Tom Brady. It’s just putting a super high bar on someone who’s totally unproven in the league so far

@Que Truth yup. They’re similar in size, Drew Lock is slightly bigger. Both have surprisingly powerful arms. Both have escapability but aren’t SUPER mobile (like a Lamar Jackson). They have the capability to make “wow” plays but aren’t very consistent. Drew Lock plays like he thinks he’s Mahomes, but Mahomes is FAR more consistent and way more clutch. Same with Rogers. Like I said, Zack Wilson absolutely has the ability to be like those guys, it’s just unfair to compare him to arguably the best QB right now and arguably the greatest talent at the QB position EVER. Also it’s hard to really compare Zack Wilson to elite QB’s because (no fault to his own) BYU doesn’t play anybody with a pulse. So we’ll see!!

Zach Wilson played bad teams. And needs more development. Justin Fields played better teams, played and dominated through a injury. Against a good team. He also has a strong arm. He also has speed, agility. And can throw thru tight windows. Justin Fields is a two way threat. He reminds me on 2015 Cam Newton, he’s 6’3, fast and can throw the ball. Justin Fields is a better player than Lawrence not necessarily because of their playing ability, but Field's ability to persevere through pain, adversity, not to mention Field's accuracy and arm. I just Zach Wilson doesn't get drafted "too high" if you get what I mean. Particularly I hope the Jets don't draft him. That franchise is where careers go to die. I hope he gets drafted to a more stable franchise like San Francisco so that he gets paid well and he can take some time to be an "understudy," learn, and have some longevity with his NFL Career.

@@clarencewalder2985 Look at his whole career, a spectacular freshmen season and bowl game , then as a sophomore, Beat USC and then Tennessee at their place. He had two injuries, struggled late because of them, then rehabbed and now makes NFL routine downfield into tight windows that are what they are regardless of competition. By the way, no one knocks Trey Lance for his competition level .

Zach Wilson is smaller than Kyler Murray. He's somewhat taller but he actually weighs less. He would be the lightest QB in the league the moment he is drafted. I've watched nearly every snap the kid has played at BYU and I'm calling right now that he will never be better than a Mike Sando Tier 3 guy, with the most likely scenario being he won't have his option picked up and he will end up being a career backup like Marcus Mariota.

Yeah the defenses haven't been so great as NFL defenses but Fields hasn't played any NFL level defenses either and he has insane future-pro offensive weapons all around him unlike Wilson.
