Here in india we have many calendars Yudhishtira samvat as King Yudhishtira started it in 3138-39 BCE which was started after 17 days of mahabharata war. Shankracharya samvat was started in 508 BCE which was started as birth of Shankracharya the great philosopher of advaita-vedanta today it is running as year 2530. Shaka samvat which was started by king kanishka in 78CE he was Shaka(indo-scythian). Then one of most followed is Vikrama samvat which was started in 58 BCE when great king Vikrama defeated Shaka(indo-scythians) today it is running at 2080 Vikram samvat is most followed calendar by Hindus in India it's not only Nepali calendar . Both countries follow this calendar 🙂
