The base of Mould/mold is wall plaster board or drywall. He used plaster to adhere the two sheets also filling the gap around the border. Then poured plaster on the smaller board cleaning away any off the lower sheet. Letting the plaster set up he used what looks to be part of a floor buffer pad for texture. Plaster/texture hardened he then scribes out the grout lines. Clean clean then using a release? Applying probably 2 to 3 coats do to the plaster being Porous. His first coat for the reverse mold is gel coat “polyester” filling in low spots then covering rest. Gel coat should be catalyst for a low temp cure. “No warping” let sit till just tacky then add you backing/structural fabric’s he used 1.5 or 2.0 ounce chop mat pulling it apart for easy wet out. He has matched the color pigment of resin to gel coat. still mixed the catalyst to resin for a low temperature cure. “I would have used a 2” brush” he applied whatever layers for structural needs. I love this gentleman’s work! Wish I had him for a neighbor to work together?????

Mold/ mould could have been done in a rubber if only using for plaster or cast able resin casting!
