I have a few broken computer fans. Fixing them is difficult. Today, I will build a simple yet powerful control circuit for the computer fan. It only uses 2 mosfet and 4 resistors. Very simple for newbies.

All my projects are free, I design them on EAGLE 6.0. I uploaded it to Google drive. You need to use a web browser to download the file and open the file with winrar software (extract) on the PC. Open schematic file (.SCH) and PCB file (.BRD) with EAGLE software.

@@PhdHung Can you tell the both the Mosfet no# as in the diagram it's not clear visible ? What is the DC voltage and amperes applied? And i have similar speed fan but with only two wire coming out ? ( manufacturer name shengshida )

In circuit diagram you mentioned 220 ohm and 100 ohm resisters but you use 470 ohm and 100 ohm resisters. Is it correct.

Thanks @Awesome Tech !! 1. IRF540 is cheaper here. Which resistors should I use? Same? 2. Do you think could be risky to a PC/motherboard/power supply because posible broke/overheat/shortcut or it's safe? 3. How ca we vary the speed a bit to reduce speed/noise if required?

Tuyệt vời quá.mình có 4>5 cái quạt loại amper cao mà bị hư bo có cách này thì mình cứu nó sống lại thì có đồ chơi rồi kaka. Giữ lại bo khiển của quạt lấy hết linh kiện ra,lấy fet trong main cpu vi tính có đủ loại mà nhỏ gọn nữa,gắn linh kiện vào mạch của quạt thì y như zin lun.

I have a doubt, As per the information available on sites, it will require a minimum of four Mosfet(switching devices) to run single phase BLDC motor but how you did that with two MOSFETs without the feedback circuit. Plz Help me with this

We can do also inverter with same connections use 2x12 volt --- 220 volt transformer but with out regulator !!!

So technically I can use this scematic with every 3 wire brushless dc motor (hdd and fans)? And if the controller inside the fan broken, i can use rc car ESC directly to the winding inside?

This circuit is used for 2-phase motors. If you use a 3-phase motor, you can use the RC ESC.

So i try on small bldc 2.5" motor with 200 and 100 ohms. WORK WELL. Full speed. With 3.5" get mosfet hot so i quit. Using irf630fp both. From old tv
