🍮Craffins
calculation for 6 small craffins (diameter 10 cm (4 inch), height 12 cm (4.7 inch)
Dough:
300 ml (10 oz) of milk
20 g (1.5 tbsp.) sugar
5 g (0.17oz) dry yeast or 15 g ( 0.5oz ) pressed
150 g (1/3 lb.) flour
Prepare the dough.
1. Combine yeast with flour, mix.
*** if dry yeast, then mix it with flour
**** if pressed yeast, dissolve it in warm milk (not higher than 40 degrees)
2. Add sugar and flour with yeast to slightly warm milk. Stir until smooth.
3. Cover with a towel and put away in a warm place.
🥐Craffin dough:
dough:
100 g ( 2 eggs)
100 g ( 3.5 oz ) sugar
5 g salt (1/2 tsp.)
500 g ( 17.8 oz ) flour
100 g ( 3.6 oz ) butter (softened) - for dough
100 g ( 3.6 oz ) butter (softened) - for layers
Bake at 180 degrees - 350 F - 30-35 minutes
Prepare Craffin Dough.
1. Mix eggs with sugar, salt. We mix.
2. Add the brew.
3. Sift the flour through a sieve, add softened butter.
4. Knead the dough.
5. Transfer the dough to a bowl, cover with a towel, and put in a warm place for 1 hour.
6. Divide into 6 equal parts.
7. Form balls, cover them with cling film.
8. Strain the raisins in parallel, drain the syrup.
9. Roll out the dough into a rectangle about 30 - 40 cm in size, 3 mm thick.
10. We coat the surface of the dough with softened butter.
11. We bake in tins at 180 degrees - 350 F - 30-35 minutes.
🍰Filling:
200 g (7 oz) of blue raisins (can be replaced with any dried fruit)
nuts (pre-roasted, no husks)
chocolate (thermostable)
poppy (do not soak, use dry)
🍯For syrup:
100 ml (3.4 fl.oz ) of water
100 g (3.6 oz ) sugar
Prepare the syrup.
1. Mix hot water and sugar either in a saucepan or in a bowl. Stir, dissolve sugar.
2. We wash the raisins or dried fruits.
3. After the syrup has cooled, add the raisins (dried fruit).
4. Set aside for several hours.
For decoration:
powdered sugar
Form craffins:
1. With raisins (any dried fruits), pre-soaked in syrup.
2. With poppy seeds (DO NOT soak beforehand).
3. With nuts, pre-roasted in the oven, without husks.
4. With chocolate drops (thermostable).
