Man this one cut pretty deep. How are you guys feeling about this one?

When I was 11 years old I was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy. I received a heart transplant 8 days after I was put on the donor list. I had my heart transplant on January 8th 2002. I was told that I would be lucky to make it past 25 based on my other health issues. I was told I would need to be on medication for the rest of my life to keep my body from killing my heart. I have been without my medication for almost 5 years now and I feel fine. I respect the medical field because it is something we need. However I do believe that some doctors have no idea what they're talking about. I am about to embark on a journey which has been a dream of mine since I was a little kid. Finally at 30 years old I bought a van and I am turning it into a mini RV. I am going to try to tour the country. Something I've always wanted to do. I am working right now to try to save money to get solar panels and batteries and everything I need to convert my van into my new forever home. God bless and stay safe everyone.

Not even gonna lie I couldn’t make it all the way through this. Lost my Pops to cancer 3 months ago and I still struggle everyday. He was my best friend. From the time we found out until the time he passed it was only two weeks. Didn’t even get the time to wrap our heads around it. Even tearing up just typing this. I’m sure once I can sit through the whole track it’s really gonna help me out.

This hits me in my gut so hard because on my daughter's first birthday she had to have emergency brain surgery to remove 3 tumors one of which grew around the main blood vessel on top of her little brain . she came out of surgery fine and recovered then a year and half later my wife found out she has stage 3 cervical cancer . my wife and daughter is so strong and inspiring , but it hurts my soul knowing there is nothing that I can do for my wife it tears my down as a man breaks my back and makes my knees weak watching her hurt. When does it stop , when does it go away? Im very lucky to still have my wife around us and my daughter just celebrated her 5th birthday and growing like a weed. Sorry for the long text #Crypt

I actually had cancer and was diagnosed when I was 2, it never has really affected me personally but every time I think about how much I must have scared my family when they found out it really makes me feel like shit. I know it wasn't my fault I had cancer but it still sucks knowing everyone around me had to worry over something that I had no idea what was. I'm about 17 years old now and am cancer-free, If anyone out there is going through something so severe and you don't have much hope, just know there's always a reason to fight. I know it might not sound like much coming from a random kid on a youtube comment section but we all are here for some reason, our time here is limited but our impact is eternal.

The message is what I've heard a lot of people say when they or their close ones are affected. I think that the hook may be more unexpected for some, because their expecting a more aggressive hook, but when listening to the overall track, he's placing something that is more uplifting and positive among the shit of the situation that people experience once cancer shows up and messes with their lives. Of the people I've know that have survived, they maintained a positive attitude and it seems that was much of what helped them fight. Had an uncle that survived it 6 times, different strains. The 7th one he was done fighting so it won.

7 1/2 yr lung cancer survivor here. Dude, I cried. When I was diagnosed--you would be surprised how many of my "friends" disappeared--just when I needed friends most! NEVER EVER abandon us--we need you! My Daddy died of the same lung cancer I was diagnosed with. I am also a nurse. The more my Daddy needed me to be a nurse, the more the little girl in me came out because I kew my Daddy was dying and I couldn't help. I consider myself a chemotherapy survivor...first treatment almost killed me--don't remember the 1st 3 days in the hospital. Never listen to the time table they give you. They gave me 5 yrs, I beat those odds so far. The chemo and other treatments are outrageous. My hubby and I had to file for bankruptcy--now, it's all I can do to keep my home and get food! The part when mom climbs in bed with the daughter killed me. When my Daddy was dying, I curled up behind him and held him til he breathed his last breath,

Being a lucky cancer survivor myself. Having just finished my chemo treatment a few days ago, I got in my feels hearing this song. At 17, I was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on July 16, 2018 and was scared shitless when I found out. I can’t imagine how bad my parents felt and the roller coaster of emotions they had through my treatment. I am now 19 turning 20 in October 30th and am thankful everyday.

This song hits home for me in a big way, I cried when my daughter first played it for me. I lost my father in 2000 from mesothelioma (cancer from asbestos) just 5 months before my daughter was born, last year my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer that's hereditary (which she beat, thankfully) and I just lost my half sister on April 1st this year to pancreatic cancer. Tom MacDonald delivers such a powerful message for this one.

A good friend of ours 12 year old son has a rare type of brain tumor. He is always in and out of the hospital going through treatments, blood work, etc. They need to come up with a cure or release the cure if they have found one

I bawl every time I watch this...did same when I heard it on the album. That hook is beautiful...it is for those losing hope, who feel too tired to fight...its beautiful...its for those who are afflicted. This may be one of his most important tracks. He cannot help but to try to lift others up...shield them, defend them, comfort them. that is who Tom Macdonald is. I will never stop loving him. His heart is one in a million. thank God he has a platform to reach out on.

I know this is late, my guy, what can I say? I get there when I get there. I loved the idea of bringing your pup into the reaction the way you did. It was very real for you, and people who think "oh you can't compare the two." it's only because they've never experienced something like that. Many of the concepts Tom talks about here apply to my situation and my Epilepsy fight. I empathized with it so much because of where I've been with my battle, some might not feel it's "right" or whatever but don't apologize for having that feeling and that battle and sharing it with the people that watch your stuff, man, they get it. This one hit me hard. My mother got cancer this year. Sarcoma. So rare they don't even have stats on how well it reacts to different treatments. Well, the tumor grew from 2cm to 19cm between February and may 14th when they removed the tumor. Well, 6 weeks of driving her to and from radiation (2 hours one way) along with working when I am not driving and we find out it moved to her lungs. Now they are looking into experimental chemo to treat the 4 large tumors in her lungs. Not ashamed to say I am scared I am going to lose her. She also thinks it is over by the way she is going about getting her will and estate in order. So this song.... and the timing of it... it hit hard.

Shit hits deep! 3 years ago my mum was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer and being the only child was rough looking after her at the age of 13, I cooked, cleaned, managed bills at that young age! If it weren’t for me she would be dead right now. Last session of chemotherapy almost killed her and she got sepsis. She is now 1 year in remission and has been given the all clear!

I liked the message that this spread. My grandma had a dog that passed from bone cancer and that was a sad day for all of us. I wasn’t really feeling the hook at first, but it definitely grows on you unlike most of Tom’s other hooks that I consider to just be bad. But, I’m not being much of a critic here, cuz this hit many people emotionally and I’m not taking that away. This was really hard to listen to. I just recently lost my grandfather to cancer so this song meant a lot to me.

Man I actually loved the hook on this one. It took the song to a different level. I get where is kinda doesn't fit with the beat but man the message is so strong. Tom has a gift of pushing his message what ever it may be. Every word in the hook is so true. As i remember my family who have past away or who survived cancer they have a light about them that burns brighter in the dark. I watched two women in my life one who was a tank of a woman and one who was just a beast go from a picture of strength to frail little women. You would think as I remember them I would see the week state they left this world but I only see light and strength beyond compare. They may have lost their battle but my God they fought long and hard. When I remember their frail state I see pure beauty that is as bright as the sun. I show my daughters pictures of them and tell them the beauty of their strength. Man this song is just pure and honest and it speaks to you on a whole new level.

I have lossed half my family to cancer.. I am 35 years old I have gone from 210 pounds A 134 pounds in 4 months.. They cannot figure anything out wrong with me until I got the phone call the other day and said they would like to take a biopsy of my stomach.. Where I have been complaining of pain in my stomick for about 5 years now.. Now they just want to take a biopsy just now scared to death.. Like I say Cantor has white my family out I have one family member left.. Which is my grandfather. I tried to Show the love I have for him every day.. I am a little scared of my test coming back I have 4 wonderful kids we are blended family.. Me and my wife are scared to death of what the test results are going to say just due to the history behind this.. How much radiation they pumped into her.. She was a soldier.. 2 fought her butt off just to stay alive to meet her grandkids Thank gave her a year to live she wind up fighting it for 3 years. The day my little girl was born she looked at me and said I know it's time for me to go.. God has allowed me to see all my grandchildren I am happy.. The next day All the Sun she became a tremendous amount of pain she went to the hospital.. They said they would have to do a minor surgery and that we will be able to pick her up the following day.. 4 o'clock the next day I get a phone call from the hospital saying the surgery went well you will be able to pick your grandmother up tomorrow morning.. Something wrong I got the phone call on the way to the hospital to pick my grandmother up that she passed away.. You have to understand something my grandmother raised me I was diagnosed with dyslexia long time ago.. Back then I thought dyslexia was a form of retardation.. None of my other family members including my father.. Wanted me around.. I was made fun of because I could not spell.. But I Read at anybody's highest level.. Am I comprehension is off the charts.. Get a little carried away in this conversation.. Once again Tom thank you God has placed you on this Earth to do what you are doing keep it going.. I pray one day I will get to meet you.. My cousin beat cancer a few years ago when I first starting doing MRIs to see what the growth on my brain was! It’s not cancer or anything, they think it’s something caused by something like a fall, so trauma basically, or something to with seizure type activities like cordial dysplasia or whatever it’s called, but now my great uncle has liver cancer and heart issues And the liver cancer has kindve spread Praying for him and everyone else going through this horrible disease

I felt this on so many levels, between family having cancer and seeing them go through everything for it to not work or suffer from the treatment aftermath is just terrible. Especially the line about the insurance. I've had Crohns since I was 15 and it's been really bad between failing several expensive meds, surgeries, stubborn insurance, and aftermath of treatments that have almost killed me several times, I feel for those who go through those situations having still dealing with those issues. And family dealing with those issues with cancer are 10x worse. *I'm not saying Crohns is like Cancer, but saying the parallel with insurance, treatment, and those aspects is understandable*

My dad had cancer and he was struggling very hard. He became cancer free, two years later it came back went back to the hospital and they overdosed him on chemo and his body became paralyzed and he couldn't speak very well at all. So the cancer came back again for the 3rd time and the doctors couldn't do anything about it because of the overdose that THEY DID to him and he ended up passing away in December 2015. The hardest thing I have had to go through in my life, he was the best man I know, super smart, super funny, real good looking (I look like him.. Lol), and never raised his voice. He was an angel on Earth I think.. Anyways if the hospital/Dr's didn't overdose my father then he would be alive.. Idk why I just told everybody that but it kind of just came out...

I like the hooks in this one. Its an inspirational part of an otherwise very dark situation. And Bro I understand the dog thing. I don't have children but am damn attached to my dogs.

This song hits home, just lost my boyfriend's brother to throat cancer, and my step son in law has 6 months max to live do to liver cancer. He is all ready on hospice.

My brother had cancer... he kinda knew it but didn't have insurance and had little income so he didn't go to get it treated. At the age of 25 his new wife twisted his arm, convinced him to cry charity.. and it turned out he had Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Luckily it was treatable and he's a Grandfather now. If you suspect something is wrong.. check it out.. don't kill yourself by not trying to save yourself.

My nana passed from breast cancer, and alot of people i know have it....the most recent one is my foster sisters grandma, it's in her liver and her stomach...she was told she has at least 2 years, at most 5....it hurts so much knowing that we might lose her, and that she won't get to see her grand daughter grow up

If you don't know someone that this topic has affected then you have been living under a rock and haven't ever been online. These are the types of songs that should be #trending and pushed as mainstream rather than the junk that is pushed to kids and adults from their televisions. That is why I only really listen to independent music and journalists. Its the Tom MacDonalds, Upchurch, Crypt, ACal, Mesus and Tim Pool, Jack Murphy, Adam Crigler type people who seek the truth and are willing to have tough conversations we need more of this not less

This one gut deep

2018 I was dx with 2 primary cancers. Squamous cell carcinoma that spread to my bones and endometrial cancer. I was given less than 18 months. I have forgotten how many surgeries. Radation, chemo, immunotherapy, XGEVA just a few. Less than 1 % survival rate. March 2020 last surgery and now I've hit remission which no Dr can explain. I have about 2 years before cancer comes back is what they tell me. The worst part is you can't stop thinking about cancer even if you go in remission because they make sure to tell you since you had two cancers for so long another one is bound to come within a few years. If I knew I was going to be told that I would have made sure to them to keep that crap to themselves.

This song was so hard to listen to and watch. My son was diagnosed with brain cancer at the age of 2. He is a fighter, warrior and SURVIVOR. After over 13 months of intense treatment and surgeries he is now 8 years cancer free.
