Last i heard a prisoner in pa costs the taxpayer 32k a year. That takes into consideration wages,benefits for prison staff,cost to maintain facility,ect.. medical costs dental feeding.

In Canada we'd arrest any homeowners attempting to defend themselves. Sad. Now they recommend leaving your valuables by the front door so they are easier to take.

This Sheriff has my vote for Law Enforcement Officer of the Year. Not only does he protect the armed homeowner's actions, but he invites the armed homeowner to a Sheriff Department sponsored gun safety class, so the homeowner won't miss the criminal next time. Bravo Sir.

And in Canada, were told to leave our doors open with a map of our home that gives the locations of all of our goods. And please be silent while your house is being robbed, you dont want to disturb the "down trodden" (robbers are victims everyone) while they steal your stuff.

The questions in the background "did you find anything in him?" "How many shots were fired?" "What kind of gun was used?" These young "reporters" will do anything to decriminalize a criminal and make a law-abiding homeowner the bad guy. Morons

I live in upstate New York at the moment but moving in 3 years as moving is not an easy thing. We are moving because of this exact problem, criminals are everywhere and frankly it's been like this my entire life. Not sure why my parents came here but I've had enough. Actually I've had enough 30 years ago. Wish I never lived here, ever. Thinking of going to Florida and this helps a lot.
