I enjoyed putting silencers on revolvers but fully understand and am okay with them doing this because it was downright broken how easily it would just end an entire mission

I never used any other pistol in the game because an un upgraded revolver could 1 shot everyone, good to know its fixed.

also it makes zero sense because there is a gap between cylinder and barrel throw which gases escape when you fire. Even if you put a silencer on a revolver this gap is enough to make it irrelevant

Ive noticed some Big bugs during my gameplay, hopefully they patch them soon. Also can't wait for the multiplayer they promised!

It'd be cool if there were more axes, imo. Idk if they added any in updates, but one solid two-handed battle axe or two one-handers would be fun.

Yeah its a bit of a shame that now that they're really cooking with this game, they saying that enough is enough. But silver lining is that they're atleast working on a sequel. Hoping they actually learned and put all the cool stuff from the first game into the sequel and then some more.

RED Engine looks 10 times better than UE, it's a real shame.

UE5 is entirely capable of looking just as good as RED Engine if not better. Unreal gets a lot of shit for its graphics mostly because its accessible to amateurs who shove out asset flips that all share that "plastic" look because they aren't artists. I fully expect the professional experienced artists at CDPR will be able to make whatever they make in UE5 look amazing. @@Dat_Jonx

I really hate to be that guy but just to play the devil's advocate i think that the fact that it doesnt have NG+ adds to the heartbreak and finite decision made right at the end. In fact i wasnt doing much but picking up weapons stronger than mine to fight with. Now correct me if im wrong but isnt there a way after meeting with Hanako at Embers that you can go back to that exact spot before going in with all your new gear? I mean i know its not a NG+ persay like most games but i thought it was still very good in terms of getting all your shit especially that legendary "shovel"

yeah i uninstalled on launch day. 2.0 is a whole different game, playing it through right now, highly recommend!

i would wait just a lil bit for Phantom liberty or even better, for a hotfix. small percentage of players ( mostly who use older pcs but meet requirement) are having a serious crashing problem. waiting for CDPR to address this so i can play the game past the prologue...

I really love Starfield... in the space of 10 days I racked up 60 hours... I played Cyberpunk on release and trust me, it was rough as a badger's arse. Starfield is still at release 1.0 and the usual Bethesda modders haven't had time to lift it to a new level. It's a glorious time to be alive: Cyberpunk, NMS, Starfield, Star Citizen, Elite Dangerous, Dual Universe, Everspace 2.... Absolutely massive worlds to explore,each with its own charm... But Baldurs Gate 3 is on an entirely new level. It basically broke me for other games. The companions in BG3 are other-fucking-worldly.... god tier.

Nah don't agree, I enjoy Starfield slightly more than Cyberpunk 2.0 PL , it's worth remembering Cyberpunk was a complete cluster at release even on PC, and so bad it got removed off the Sony store.

@@Battleneter That’s because they tried to release Cyberpunk to last gen consoles, which it was never designed to do. Greed made them stupid. But Starfield has systemic problems which can’t be easily remedied. Like do you enjoy staring at loading screens for half of your time playing the game? That’s a deal killer for me. And it isn’t fixable without porting the whole game over to a newer more modern engine like Unreal 5. And I don’t think Bethesda is willing or able to do that. So it will remain a ‘cluster F’ no matter what they do, and even with mods this game is barely playable. Then you have the horrible writing, the lack of player choice and consequences, and the abysmal character interactions which make this game unbearable as an RPG. They would have to start ver from scratch to fix all that. Cyberpunk had great characters, writing and animations from the start even with bugs.

Starfield has flaws for sure there is no debate like too many loading screens, but I am still finding it more enjoyable than Cyberpunk 2.0. I find the Cyberpunk writing a little childish like it's written to appeal to 13 year olds where everything is "super cool". I will get back to Cyberpunk 2.0 after I am done with Starfield and BG3.

Hey me too. I started playing it at Update 1.60 on a PS4 Pro. And I had & have still a great experience with it. It should be evident that the actual developers on the game (Not CEOs & Presidents & WB Games publisher) actually gave a fuck about how good the game is. Especially since they still added patch’s & a decent DLC after its release.

The main story was always amazing. Playing on PC on release was mostly fine, a few bugs and glitches. I got a lot of enjoyment out of it and the game now is even better. Looking forward to playing this DLC.

Cyberpunk 2077 release state was horrible, people shouldn't forget it was terrible from a technical standpoint and the industry should learn from it and stop releasing games in that state. The game is not a masterpiece but is actually a good and enjoyable game for what it is. People that keeps hating on this game because of the terrible launch version will get they anus prolapsed when they find that VTMB released 19yrs ago completely broken and rushed without getting no OFFICIAL patches fixing the game and still people consider it one the best rpg of that decade, or worse find out that Valve lied CDPR style with the promotional material of half life 2, the beta gets leaked showing that the game was still in alpha state one year before the actual launch (and btw initially it was supposed to launch the same year the beta got leaked) the game got delayed and shipped a year later in a smaller more sanitized version than what was promised and nobody gave a fuck because the game was good despite all of that, those were the days before ragebait content and outrage culture became a thing btw.

Base game was perfect on release if you had the power to run it. Phantom Liberty on the other hand is filled with bugs and game breaking glitches. They said they're ending support for it so ig were stuck with a broken game now.

As for "Edgerunners" it seems like CDPR contracted with Netflix to just produce a show of each big property they have. Edgerunners for CP2077 and The Witcher for well the games of the same name + number. Then Netflix did a couple of Witcher prequel movies too based on the success of the Henry Cavill show (one animated and a live action one with Michelle Yeoh).

I honestly don’t think there would have been anything to sell that long ago. The dev-hell seems strongly confirmed by circumstance by this point and they already launched a barely early access title. Anything less would have been more akin to fallout 76 style launch than the big ridden shitshow it already was.

But the writing/stories are better in CP2077, Starfield is in many ways a PG13 version of Cyberpunk when it comes to plot lines. Some of the quests in CP2077 are really dark.

I mean, shit Mario is Mario. People complain about these things, but the games exist because, well, people want to play Mario games. We see it everywhere, did Avengers 3 really shake that formula up so much? There's a certain denial about pizza: people like it. We can pretend companies need to innovate or die, and yet every week millions order out. So, if we excise that part of the debate we notice we're offering up an objective argument about a subjective thing. Games are games. If we could objectively judge them then they would all look the same. Fuck, should they all use Unreal and ray tracing because of some dumb objective standard? That's actually stupid, as much as deigning all movies should be in 4k because who could watch a Don Hertzfelt animation? So, Starfield. It's combat is okay. It's progression is decent. It's graphics are good. It's story was okay. Base building awful, just awful. Writing is a bit poor but on par with Bethesda's general work and fairly average for video games. So we kind of come out that Starfield is okay. Case closed, we found the answer. But at the same time it ends up being more than the sum of its parts. Whether or not every quest in the game matters, it does add a richness to the universe the idea that these things *are* there. The game is either over or underdeveloped depending on what you think the game "ought to be" but ultimately settles nicely into a comfortable if janky zone. But there's perhaps another answer in here too, these games are rare. Not just Bethesda RPGs, but these big, open world branching RPGs. If you have to rattle six off, what would they be? Starfield, Cyberpunk ... Skyrim ... Fallout ... Risen maybe? Um, Elex? Witcher 3? Those last ones aren't even FP and they are all made by the same handful of companies: so another argument could be made that Bethesda gets more of a pass than they might because they serve a unique product in a large, but mostly unserved market. Not just anyone can bring one of these to market, and whatever disappointment you might feel in them: you either eat this or you get nothing. Maybe that's not a back-of-the-box feature but the thing itself being at all most certainly is. Finally, there's one more argument that could be made. It's interesting how similar Cyberpunk and Starfield are in concept. It might be, too, that these are the games they are and they aren't so much lacking, as being so large as to see places things can fit. In that world the modding argument makes a lot of sense, a huge sandbox has been given that can be filled with dreams. Skyrim wasn't what it is now at launch, and while I don't think that's a sales pitch to buy the game or to decide you like it more than you do, we do see a lot of untapped potential in such a large thing. There is an arrogance in the argument to suggest Bethesda could do better by ditching Creation and adopting Unreal, (same people that argue the Switch is a failure by some ridiculous metric, or that Nintendo would do *better* without it), that the engine somehow held the game back when, in reality, it exists because they made what it is. It was intentional, this recipe isn't an accident and its success isn't unexpected: it serves a market that likes it for what it is. So yeah, we have a big ol thing with lots of stuff in it and, who knew? People like it. Maybe not because everything in it is unique and special, but because it is in and of itself fairly unique and special. Like a 500 lb Cheeseburger. It's not necessarily a good cheeseburger in and of itself, but the spectacle alone adds a pizzaz that overwhelms that the pickle slices they used were kind of cheap and the beef is overcooked.
