After studying Icelandic language for several years, I was initially dismayed that I couldn’t understand the lyrics. We went to Iceland after discovering VÖK, Sigur Rós, Björk, Mum, and falling in love with Icelandic musicians combining classical and experimental techniques. This man is so real. We were introduced by our host in Reykjavík. He was “saving his voice” for Eurovision and broke his silence to sing accapella just for me. I had no idea who he was until coming back to America, but we are forever fans after “Skipti Ekki Malli”. In America, we would say “This bop slaps”. Now we have to learn German too. Thank you Daði. Áfram með smjörið og takk. 🫶

How can Daði do anything and I still like it? I couldnt focus on the video because I started to feel sea sick, but I just looked away and enjoyed the music. That was probably intentional. Either way, great song! *specially the strings at the end
