This mix is so fucking good. That Giorgio by Moroder into the brainwasher part is utterly fucking genuis. Made me jump out my seat in awe. Technologic/derezzed/steam machine is done beautifully. Creative use of too longs original sample and an inspired use of the ticking clock from the epilogue video

I don't think I'll ever forget the very first time I've listened to this. Might sound corny, but I'm sincere about it. When the news broke that the duo was splitting, it really stung me. I started listening to Daft Punk when I was just a kid in my teens. One hope that I always had was that one day I'd get to witness one of their concerts live - needless to say, their "Epilogue" video buried that hope permanently. Or so I thought. I went into this video being intrigued by the title. I was sure there wasn't actually an Alive 2021 concert - and indeed, the video description confirmed this as a fan tribute - but *holy shit* was I not ready for this experience. By the time the screechy intro taken from "Contact" (actually my least favourite part of Random Access Memories if we're being honest) had ended, the track kicked into this grand opening, putting the stems from all four title tracks to great use. When you say "Contact / Human After All / Superheroes / Revolution 909", you really do mean it; I can hear all those tracks poured into this incredible mix. And the experience certainly doesn't peak there. There's also the super-energetic blend of "Lose Yourself to Dance / Crescendolls", or the excellent four-way mix of "Giorgio By Moroder / The Brainwasher / Musique / Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger"... I have to applaud the selection of visuals, too. It's a *very* well-crafted illusion of an actual Daft Punk concert; almost like a glimpse into a different timeline. You may call it a "bootleg" in the description, but the quality of everything here matches that of the robots themselves. I could probably go into detail about my opinions on each individual track, but it'd cause this comment to get even longer than it already is, so I'll just summarize by saying that I liked everything here, even if I think some aspects could've been improved. One complaint that I can think of is the unfortunate feeling that the setlist loses some steam in the second half. It's not that they're bad (hell, I *love* your blend of "Instant Crush" with "Face to Face"), but certainly a whole lot more could have been done with those tracks towards the end. I mean no disrespect, but the live edit of "Get Lucky", however good it may be as a part of the concert experience, doesn't impress me on the same level that the first track did by mixing four tracks from all four of their studio albums. I like it as part of the entire experience here - you know, Daft Punk making one of the closer songs be their biggest mainstream hit to end on a high note - but I don't think I'd ever feel any need to listen to it separately over the album version of the song. All that being said, I wanted to thank you for creating this bootleg concert. It's all the more impressive when I remember you've done this all out of already existing content. Despite being artificial, in my opinion your Alive 2021 manages to feel like a piece of reality. It nails the Daft Punk style better than any other fan-made Alive or Daft Punk remix I've seen out there. And hey... you ended up making that dream of mine come true in the end ;)

I have made a few Daft Punk tributes in my time being involved in electronic music, but they do not hold a candle to this.
