The Mavs after the trade deadline changed a lot for good. They don't live and die by the 3 anymore. Last 4 wins they shot 30% and still got those Ws because of points in the paint and fastbreak points. They are getting quality looks but they cant convert. But if they keep playing like that, they are gonna hit them at some point. PJ has been excellent in everything and a major upgrade over Grant Williams, but he cant hit a 3 for his life unfortunately. When he got those two 3s from the corner, the game opened up for the Mavs! The two bigs provide rim protection, rebounds and easy points in the paint because of Luka's elite vision. Kyrie is one of the greatest scorers in the league. His pull-ups are cash almost every time! I like their new style of play. It's more reliable and can get some wins like in San Antonio or in Utah when shots do not fall. Pre deadline Macs would have lost both. Also what a luxury to have Kyrie and Luka to close out games! You just feel safe they are gonna deliver. Big weapon for the playoffs! Mavs are on of the best teams in the clutch!
