The police that were there were given orders to not engage with any protestors days before this. It was military personnel (without proper authority) who eventually called in the National Guard from nearby states after Trump and his newly placed Defense leaders refused to act at all. They planned this. They wanted it to happen. This is step one. It was a dry run for the next real coup.

The fact that the FBI is now asking for help in identifying the very people that they had in their hands, let walk around the Capitol for almost 3 hours and then helped out of the building and down the stairs to get home safely is disgusting. Why were the not arrested on the spot? Only 50 arrests 48 hours later? There were hundreds of people in the building. Over 250 people were arrested in on day during a peaceful BLM protest in D.C. this summer. Only 50 people arrested after all of this? 5 people dead. A federal building broken into in an attempt to overthrow our government. This is disgusting and disgraceful.

@@elphbwckd212 Some of the cops are complicit. Between the selfies, removing barricades and intentionally letting protestors in, the refusing additional personnel, the lack of arrests... I guarantee you a bunch of them were in favor of the coup and were hoping to be on the right side of it, however it turned out. If it had worked, we'd be down more than half a senate and the people who are trying to do a public 180 to save face would be saying they supported the concept all along.
