Whittaker is an Australian national wrestling champ and I guarantee you if Yoel had a tough time taking him down*, so will Chimaev. I think Rob gets a 3rd round stoppage. Khamzat doesn't have diverse enough standup to advance on the feet.

everything will depend on Rob's motivation. If he competently defends himself against passes to the legs, then in the standing position he will be able to throw a splash. If he loses concentration, he will be strangled. Khamzat’s motivation will be beyond belief, he’ll perform at home.

No. Adesanya was in all mw title fights since he beat Gastellum in 2019, until Strickland beat him. Khamzat never went 5 rounds in the ufc and was going over and back between ww and mw while Adesanya was fighting the next contender for his title.

What about Strickland? I understand adesanya was dominant and active, but stricklands loss was actually very close. Feels like they don’t want him anywhere near the belt.
