And not to mention they cut their part on You Happened, I mean I love their part on the soundtrack and it was really disappointing when I watched the movie

This and Unruly Heart are the best songs But in My Opinion all songs are amazing.

I was just going to comment that its not exactly the full song, but then Ryan Murphy seemed to think that they didn't need to have any complete songs, and practically completely cut them from 'You happened'. Awful.

@@emc1868 So true...and I don't understand why they changed the mood and setting of the song so completely, I thought that the musical showed their desire and their wish of just dancing with eachother as well as it showed how easy this could be accomplished if the people were'nt so homophobic! In the movie it seemed more like they're already living in their beautiful dream (which is nothing bad but for me it doesn't work with the overall story of the Prom)...and how the hell didn't Alyssa's mother see with whom her daughter was in the parking lot? I was wondering that when I watched the movie and I'm doing it now again...

@@HauntedByDreamsAndFears I agree! Emma's constant grin got to me too. People being homophobic - Grin. Fake Prom - Grin. Breaking up with Alyssa - Grin! It just seemed so false to me. Plus the fact that their entire screen time could fit into about 15 minutes is just crazy. There are so many people who don't realise that The Prom was a Broadway show. They think the film was all there is. I wish they could see it as it should have been. Barry estrangement from his Mother is a lesson to Mrs Greene that she could lose Alyssa. Barry says to her "If you don't let her be who she is, you will lose your beautiful daughter. Trust me I know what I'm talking about." That has so much more impact that the added in storyline of Barry forgiving his mother after 10 seconds! I'm not saying it was a bad film. The girls were good in as/much as they were allowed to be, but for me the Broadway show and cast were better. Its such a shame that it closed. Wow, sorry for the rant! :)

@@emc1868 Your rant is pretty much welcome ;) Yeah, the grin was weird - and not in the Emma-Nolan-lovely-weird way! But I think the actress still made it a different kind of grin for each situation and I completely blame it on the director (I mean, I can't imagine that she thought this would be the right way to portray that character) I was one of those people. I never heard of the musical before and when I read the promo for the movie I was like "hell, a lesbian storyline in a musical, I need to watch this" but while watching it I was really disappointed. It didn't feel like a story about two girls, their prom and a group of Broadway actors - It just felt like a story about Dee Dee and Barry...and it was so long, I literally stopped somwhere in the middle and thought "What? It's still an hour to watch?!" And really sadly: the only song that touched me was "Alyssa Greene". Even "Unruly Heart" felt a little off to me, maybe because I didn't get to know Emma as much as I needed to really feel for her (and that's be said by a queer girl). After watching the movie it took me weeks until I started to watch some videos of Izzy singing "Alyssa Greene" and that was how my passion/obsession started. Now I've seen the bootleg of the closing night (note: opposite to the movie watching it felt like a few minutes but definitely not like more than two hours) and I'm in love with the show - it still has some points where the plot lacks a bit, in my opinion, but the cast is awesome and the whole energy of the show is just wow. And this energy can't be translated from stage to screen, it just doesn't work. At least for me. Now it's my time to say sorry but I could write a whole essay and analyze what I like and don't like about that movie... :D
