Once you sign on the dotted line; a deal is a deal. Whether it be Taylor Swift upset about not owning her masters (or having the chance to buy them herself), New Edition getting screwed over multiple times by the record labels/record companies they signed with, etc. Trust me there are COUNTLESS examples in the music business, acting game, comedian circuit or whatever outlet has something involving one party signing a deal with another. Legally, it is "fair." However, morals don't always overcome money in the cutthroat reality of Hollywood. I'm sure in the long run, it was a GREAT move on Netflix's part to remove the Chappelle Show because if there is another deal that they could offer Dave to bring them new specials, there is a better chance of him agreeing because they did something to make their star comedian happy because they are aware of how much traffic Dave brings to their platform. It's a good thing he has such a great relationship with them, and I have to once again say that they figured it was the BEST move not just for Dave; the long-term aftermath of that decision will bring even MORE views to whatever special he does with them next. I saw some people online trying to compare this to the Mo'Nique situation. THEY ARE NOT THE SAME! Dave was asking people to not support his SHOW on Netflix while Mo'Nique was asking people to boycott NETFLIX entirely. Not to mention, this also shows how much more power and pull Dave has than Mo'Nique to pull this kind of maneuver.

I own all the DVD’S so Dave has my support to the fullest

Netflix did the right thing in taking it off on his request. Nobodies contracts that predate streaming services seem to permit them to make money from the companies distributing their work on them. Kanye's contract was a good example of this, and now Dave's opened up about it in his field, I hope there's pressure to rectify old contracts for the new world we live in. If anyone hasn't, I highly recommend you watch Dave's video explaining his situation on instagram.
