This reminded me of my first dance/gymnastics class when I was in either 2/3rd grade. I begged my mom to buy me a pink leotard, a pink tutu, an stockings. I went out there looking just like Hayden and then when I saw all the other kids dress in shorts, and t shirts I was so embarrassed even at such a young age. One of the girls Gwendolyn my arch nemesis lol said why are you wearing that while we were standing in line to take our turns. I was slipping and sliding all over the floors in my stockings and the teacher as “why don’t you go to the bathroom and take those off”. I went and had to regroup and said after that day I was done. I was very upset with my mom for being the adult and not telling me no or taking the time to explain to me why I shouldn’t wear that outfit when I begged for it lol. She was supportive of me and honestly didn’t even know any better. I still have a picture of the outfit til this day of me not the whole get up posed with my two sisters looking like the three wise monkey. Now when my mom tells me I look fine when I feel overdressed,which I often am, I get a third opinion or just go in confident and smiling just like Hayden. I hope she always looks this happy, confident, and beautiful in every new door that’s opened to her.
