Exploring poetry and power of words Supriya Newar is an alum of Modern High & St. Xavier's College and holds a Master of Arts degree from Jadavpur University. She wears several hats of being an author, poet, communications specialist and music aficionado. She has clocked over two decades professionally in steering noteworthy brands, and trained & led teams. She continues to be attached with a clutch of firms as a consultant and an Independent Director. She has authored several noteworthy coffee table books, She’s authored two books on the city - Kalkatta Chronicles and Kolkata Classics. She also has to her credit, hundreds of bylines and travelogues published widely. She revels in reading and writing poetry in multiple languages.
She has taught at The Heritage College, At The Statesman Print Journalism School, St.Xavier’s College. She is also associated with organizations such as Calcutta Debating Circle, Calcutta Heritage Collective, and The Creative Arts Academy This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
