People don't understand how much of a powerful impact music like this has on kids!! I come from a crazy family in Africa and suffered from depression from a very young age...i can remember when I was around 8 how nice this song would make me feel...cause it was positive and such good advice, something I lacked getting as a child. I disowned my whole family and now stay I'm the USA and have a family of my own. Im now 30 and still looooove this song so much wish Des'ree knew how far her beautiful song brought me❤

My mom loved this song so much. She passed in 2005, from cancer. Hearing this reminds me of her strength and courage despite what she was facing. I hope to be a fraction of the person she was. Love you mama.

My Mama use to play this when she was cleaning the house on Sundays, my Mama passed a few years ago and when I hear this it inspires me to brush myself off❤ now pregnant at 33 with my first child I play this daily for my unborn child. It truly makes my soul happy and I hope it's something that will stick with my child forever like it has me😊😊

I don’t know if you’ll ever see this, but I had this song on tape when I was a kid. I put it in my Walkman and on repeat while I rode my bicycle around my neighborhood. I came from an abusive home and this song kept me going, and continued too when life continued to challenge me. I’m happy to say I’ll turn 35 next week and I can share this song (my favorite song) with my 4 year old. I remember this song from my childhood. Not only does it bring me nostalgia, but the message it has gives me strength through this tough time of graduating, becoming an adult, finding out what i want to make of my life, all while fighting through my personal issues and this pandemic. Yo this song has been in my subconscious my entire life for whatever reason, I remember hearing it one time…I remember liking it…and it sounds exactly like I thought it would….i could only remember they, choruse…. because I was like 6 or 7 but this is a great song….super glad I found it…something huge is about to happen…like this is a pivotal and meaningful time for me, I hummed the song for at least 5 years…I searched it a decade ago but it was before Google were s good with lyrics , because I typed in the wrong thing and did the hum a song and Google finds it Wow 3/16/2024 at 8:48…what a great day man this means so much to me… Thank your for making this song…just humming this chorus has gotten me through so much and I only remember the chorus…so for me to remember it after hearing it one time for almost 30 yrs says something…again thank you fr making this , and thank god we were in Germany for me to hear it and we were leaving for good coming back to the states so maybe that’s why it stuck with me so long….but I’m so glad I found this song…I could scream rn 😂😂😂
