One team has been able to win clutch and close games staying consistent for the entire season while the other had a secure playoff spot and choked away their season with an 8 game losing streak where they got outscored 31-12 lmao. You wanna be a playoff team don't choke so hard simple as that.

Man... it was especially sad seeing Philly pull the goalie when it didn't even matter at that point, and then watching the shootout knowing my Wings are out. And then, of course, no one scores, and Kane goes last, and scores. That was especially sad to see, players jumping from the bench onto the ice, knowing it's over.

@@ianr3568it’s not a weird stat to use at all. Overtime is designed to make games fast and easy to win. If your team is relying on 3v3 or shootouts to win games then you’re not winning games how a real NHL game is played. Pretty simple concept.

I would have thought if the wings win it before the end of that game between us and philly, the Caps wouldn't get that empty netter and things might be different. But at the end of the day, even before the puck drop, the Caps are in a good spot and it just played out as is. GG to everyone else who was still in the hunt prior tonight.
