They was prob like 145 at best on fight night and dev would come in weighing 170 175 .non was punchers,I think loma beat his ass and was robbed and dev was no Floyd ! And for the record I think Ryan is a very good fighter and has the potential of being elite. His left hook is an elite punch and is one of the best punches in the sport. The only reason I don’t call him elite is bc he’s gotta show it against top opposition. Same for Boots he shows the eye test but hasn’t faced that opponent to prove he’s really top level. Same for David Morrell. I didn’t consider Benavidez elite until he beat Plant and then Andrade bc those are world champions. This win over Haney has an * by it for me bc of the weight issue. Get TF out of here. He has mad a LIVING fighting small dudes and still comes in around 185 lbs the day of the fight. They robbed Loma and he was WAY smaller. Did he give Loma another fight? Ryan mopped the floor with him. The only reason the fight lasted was due to Haney holding excessively all fight and having the Ref protecting him all night. The ref needs to be looked into, crazy stuff. They were trying to rob Ryan.

No rehydration is the only way to fight at the agreed upon weight, which is why Haney himself said he wouldn't agree to it. 3lbs off means nothing when you rehydrate 20 plus lbs.

Haney should have withdrew the fight if it wasn’t fair. He still showed up on April 20th. Ryan was a C class fighter- Devin Haney words. Devin claimed he’s an A+ fighter!!

I’m not excusing Ryan’s lack of professionalism or strategy by missing weight but by the same token Devin can’t cry about the weight issue by accepting 500k for every pound Ryan exceeded . Sorry Devin but you literally had a chance to turn down the fight or make Ryan lose the required weight with a threat of pulling out of the fight , guess what ? You chose the money .

The point everyone is missing is fasting 20 pounds drains the body and to rehydrate in a mater of hours also drains the body. It’s almost like Thanksgiving after you eat your meal your full ? Your body wants to rest after all that food. The thing is your body is actually working processing the food while you’re sitting watching football.
