What’s wrong with his accent? I believe it’s so beautiful and really makes the song so pleasing it from every angle. Just like Freddie did with his beautiful high ranges, Dimash has given the same energy but of course I still believe Freddie is more strong with emotions and talent.

Florian Felice If you're going to cover a song, why would you sing it the same way? The best way to do a cover is to make it your own. That way people have a reason to listen to your version. I think he paid great homage to the original with the rock instrumentals, rock style belts, and weighty middle register. But he threw in his operatic vibrato and amazing head voice and falsetto because that's what he is known for and what he is good at. I'm not trying to insult Freddie when I say this because he is an absolute legend, but singing this like the original would be too easy for Dimash. All artists have their own strengths, and Dimash brought his to this song while still keeping remnants of the original. I'm pretty sure Freddie would be impressed. Singers don't want their songs sung the same by others. It's much more impressive if the person covering their song has the talent and creativity to change it up, assuming they don't lose the meaning or quality of the original in the process.

Это в общем то было одним из условий конкурса - исполнение каверов, но не копируя оригинал. Так что Димаш справился отлично с такой задачей. Повторить стиль - это совсем другая задача, поэтому сравнивать эти исполнения как-то глупо (это не про вас конечно же). С этим хорошо справляется Шаман и Марк Мартелл. Но и их я бы не стала сравнивать с тем, кто пел песню умирающим - уже один этот факт придает особый смысл и вес исполнению.

Did the head voice high notes offend you in some way? Because from a technical perspective, he was perfect, and I think he did the song justice.
