The story was also in the description, it's very well written! Kinda like almost every other one of the villain songs Lydia made, exceptions being some of the first ones!

no I think its just the AU, Fairies are born from children's laughter but there never was any indication that their belief had any connection to the fairies, that just means those kids can't see said fairies.

(Sorry for the long paragraph, you don't have to read it lol) yeah, I believe like the other reply, that Lydia made this as an au, and Fairies are soulbound/ created by that babies first laugh, and if that child grows up, and stops believing in them, the fairy will die, which is the reason Tink brought Peter and the lost boys to neverland, so they'd never age, and never stop believing. Wendy coming and filling their heads with dreams of the real world was a danger to not just her, but her friends as well, Killing Wendy was likely a last resort for the fairies, they couldn't let her talk the lost boys into leaving, cause that meant Tink, Peri, and all of her living friends would also die(so basically she's saving the last of her species, since most others are dead by now, due to what was explained, less kids are laughing near a dandelion tuft, to bring a fairy to life, and less are believing they exist) basically any fairies thar are born have an extremely shorter life span now, and the only thing keeping Tink and her friends alive, are Peter and the lost boys(the lost boys are connected to the living friends she has, If I remember correctly!)

In Peter Pan 2 when Jane said that she didn't believe in fairies Tinkerbell almost died because of that

yeah! especially Peter, if he left, not only would Tink die, her Sister Periwinkle would die to. She killed Wendy out of pure desperation i agree, I mean, multiple lives would've been lost if Wendy was able to take the boys back to the normal world, Plus, with Lydia's description for the song stating that fairies were born less often, and people were believing less, that meant most fairies had an extremely short lifetime compared to before, so none of them could make any progress, Tink and her friends are the only ones who would've been able to, since they had the boys with them and are basically immortal as long as the boys continue to be there😭(and Lydia said Tink had been trying for a long time to separate that connection between fairies and their soul bound human, so they wouldn't need to do anything drastic like that, but was not able to find anything that could help.)😭
