Beginner tip: Add some glue to same amount of normal water, and apply the mixture on the inner volume of the speaker. Then spread some wood dust or saw dust on that surface. Do it 2-4 times for a better sound quality and density. I don't know the exact wordings, but it works wonders, trust me. Otherwise, great build!

A REAL BOOMING BOOM BOX. WHAT A PIECE OF WORK.

I actually did something similar, but on a smaller scale, using the amplifier out of a 10wpc stereo Bluetooth speaker that I didn’t like the sound on, and 2 4-inch full range speakers from an old Sony CMT-NE3 micro component system. It didn’t sound half bad! The only issue with the sound was that the original boxes had a port above the driver (which resembles a tweeter in the Sony design) and my speaker pipe had 2 drivers in a box as well sealed as I could make it: they were fighting the air spring in the box, and it sounded boomy as a result. It wasn’t the amp’s DSP. I actually hooked the amp to the original Sony boxes and it sounded absolutely incredible, part of what made be do the project anyway! Maybe the next step would be putting each driver in its own separate pipe. Might make a trip to the hardware store over the summer!

Either need more wattage to the speakers or lower wattage speakers to get more cone movement. Also, coaxial speaker would be much better for sound quakity. Great project. I wouod like to also try this.

You should try the fxtreme DB450 DSP amp! it is wayy better then any other boards available, and it has literally everything already build in, bluetooth, DSP, 4 channels (or 2, Bridged) and even a freakin step up booster! so basically a AIO lol.... i already bought it a few weeks ago and it really is the best amp money can buy

There are a few things wrong in this build. 1. These are woofers, not full range speakers, so the sound will distort alot when u crank the volume and the high end of the spectrum would sound muffled. 2. The air volume of the speaker compartment is too low for these woofers plus that giant hole would make weird noises. 3. You didn't completely seal the speakers from one another and they are in the same phase so technically they're fighting and cancelling out each other instead of working together. If u fix these issues the sound quality will improve significantly.
